Turns receipt data an assistant has already read into Excel, CSV, Xero or QuickBooks files with VAT split per rate, plus ECB currency conversion.
What you can do
Build spreadsheet and accounting import files from receipts, with VAT split into one column per rate and totals per currency and rate
Get warnings where net plus VAT does not match the stated total, and a download link valid for 24 hours
Convert amounts using the European Central Bank reference rate for a given date
Get a link to InvoiceSnap's own scanner for hard-to-read photos or large batches of photos and PDFs
When to use it
Useful when a user has a stack of receipts to turn into a bookkeeping spreadsheet or a Xero or QuickBooks import, and wants the assistant to read the receipts and have the file built for them. Also handy for quick currency conversion at an official reference rate.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at getinvoicesnap.com over streamable HTTP; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. The assistant must read each receipt itself before calling the build tool.
Before you install
Receipt contents (vendor, date, currency, totals, VAT) are sent to a third-party service, and the generated file is exposed through a download link that stays valid for 24 hours. The server asks that VAT rates or amounts not shown on a receipt be left out rather than guessed, and that the returned summary and link be passed on unchanged.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.getinvoicesnap%2Finvoicesnap/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Turn receipts you have read into an Excel (.xlsx), CSV, Xero or QuickBooks import file, with VAT split into one column per rate. Returns totals per currency and VAT rate, warnings where net + VAT doesn't match the total, and a download link valid for 24 hours. Up to 200 receipts per call.
Link to InvoiceSnap's own scanner, for when receipt photos are hard to read or there are many: it reads photos and PDFs (up to 50 at once) and exports the same files.
Takes no parameters.
