A remote MCP server that fetches a public web page and checks whether it links to an expected destination URL, reporting anchor, rel and canonical details.
What you can do
Inspect a published public HTTPS page for links to an expected public HTTPS destination, including known redirects of that destination. Get back the actual hrefs, resolved URLs, anchor text, rel tokens, nofollow status, HTTP status, redirects and the page's declared canonical source. No login is required to run the check.
When to use it
Useful when verifying backlink or link placement on a live page, confirming that a link points to the intended destination, or auditing rel and nofollow attributes and canonical tags without opening the page manually.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package, environment variables or headers are declared. The page and the expected destination must both be public HTTPS URLs, and network access to the endpoint is needed.
Before you install
The server fetches pages you name, so only point it at URLs you are comfortable sending to a third-party service. It is read-only inspection and does not log in or modify pages, but results reflect only what the public page returns at that moment.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.getlinkbunny%2Fplacement-checker/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Fetch a published public HTTPS page and check its HTML for links to an expected public HTTPS destination, including known destination redirects. Return actual hrefs, resolved URLs, anchor text, rel tokens, nofollow, HTTP status, redirects and declared source canonical. No login required. Does not render JavaScript, assess editorial relevance or SEO rankings, edit sites, or report/settle exchanges. not_found means absent from fetched HTML only; indeterminate means source HTML could not be inspected.
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
