Overview

AI-generated overview

GiftsToPrint lets an assistant find personalised newspaper-style posters, collect the details and photo, and create a Shopify checkout link for the user to pay.

What you can do
  • Search personalised newspaper-style posters by occasion and milestone year
  • Get the exact details, turnaround options and prices to collect for one poster
  • Create a private upload page or store a photo supplied in the conversation
  • Validate the details and create a checkout link for the user to review and pay
When to use it
Useful when someone wants a personalised birthday, anniversary or retirement poster as a print-ready digital file and wants to order it through a chat assistant without filling in the shop's forms by hand.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at mcp.giftstoprint.com; no package, environment variable or header is declared. A photo of the person or couple is needed, either uploaded through the generated link or passed directly. Payment happens on GiftsToPrint's own checkout page.
Before you install
The server creates a real Shopify checkout and collects personal details (names, dates, a message) plus a photo, which are sent to GiftsToPrint. Nothing is charged by the tool itself, but the user pays on the returned checkout page. Only use a photo the user supplied in the current conversation, never one from memory or an earlier chat.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open GiftsToPrint in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.giftstoprint%2Fposter-connector/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

find_posters

Find a poster

Search GiftsToPrint's personalised newspaper-style posters. Each poster shows real headlines and events from one year, personalised with a name, photo and message, and is delivered as a print-ready digital file (nothing is posted). Birthday posters and wedding-anniversary posters exist per milestone and edition (e.g. 60th Birthday, Australian edition, 1966); retirement and dating-anniversary posters cover any year, chosen in the form. Pick the edition by where the recipient lives or grew up (US, UK, Canada or Australia). Returns each matching poster's handle, prices and product page. Next step: get_poster_form.

get_poster_form

Get the details a poster needs

List exactly what to collect from the user for one poster: names, dates, optional message, and the photo, plus the turnaround options and prices. Ask the user for anything you don't already know. Don't invent names or dates. Next step: upload_photo, then create_poster_checkout.

Parametershandlerequiredbuyer_country

upload_photo

Upload the photo for the poster

Store the photo that will be printed on the poster, and return the photo_url to pass to create_poster_checkout. Only use a photo the user has given in THIS conversation. Never reuse a photo or link from memory or an earlier conversation, and never use a product or poster image. If the user hasn't given a photo yet, ask them for one instead of calling this. Give exactly one of: photo (a file the user attached in this chat), image_url (a public https link to the image), image_base64, or upload_id (from get_photo_upload_link, once the user says they've uploaded). If you can't send the user's photo any of these ways, call get_photo_upload_link instead of asking the user for a link. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 20MB. Photos are kept for 12 months so the poster can be made and revised, then deleted automatically.

Parametersphotoimage_urlupload_idimage_base64

create_poster_checkout

Create the personalised checkout

Validate every detail and create a Shopify checkout for one personalised poster with all the details attached. Returns checkout_url. Nothing is charged: open checkout_url for the user to review the order and pay on GiftsToPrint's own checkout. Before calling, read the details back to the user, including the photo_url so they can check it is the right photo, and confirm they understand they will receive a digital file to print (set confirm_digital_file to true). If a field is wrong, the error lists every problem at once so you can fix them in one go.
