Find, add, move and count what you keep in boxes, rooms and lists in Hoardo.
Overview
Remote Hoardo server that lets an assistant search, add, move and count the things you store in boxes, rooms and lists.
- What you can do
- Look up rooms, boxes, stored items, lists and rentals, including searches by several terms and a compact inventory view
- Add items to boxes, edit their details, move them between boxes, and put packed, lent or rented things back
- Create and manage boxes and rooms, including moving boxes with their contents
- Build and maintain lists: create lists, add things, tick items off, record entries, count stocktakes and apply counted quantities
- Book and update rentals from renting lists
- Remove things from lists and delete items or boxes
- When to use it
- Useful when you keep physical belongings in numbered boxes across rooms or storage units and want to ask an assistant where something is, what is in a box, or to update your inventory and packing, lending, selling or stocktake lists without opening the app.
- Requirements
- A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint with OAuth 2.1 sign-in; a Hoardo account is required. Apps register themselves dynamically, so no client ID or key is needed. Connected apps can be managed under Settings › Connected apps.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Hoardo in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.hoardo%2Fhoardo/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Hoardo MCP server
Hoardo keeps track of what you store: numbered boxes in rooms (a basement, an attic, a storage unit), what's in each box, and your lists for packing, lending, selling, renting, to-dos and stocktakes.
The Hoardo MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI apps use your Hoardo. Ask where the tent is, what's in box 12, or to put your camping things on a packing list, and the answer comes from your own boxes.
This repository holds documentation and install instructions only. It is not the server's source code. The server is hosted by Hoardo at the address below.
Server
Signing in
Your AI app signs you in to Hoardo with OAuth. Hoardo's sign-in is run by Supabase Auth, and apps find it through the
protected resource metadata (RFC 9728) at
https://www.hoardo.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/mcp.
Apps register themselves (dynamic client registration), so there is no client ID or key to copy anywhere. You sign in
to Hoardo, tap Allow, and the app works as you, with what your account can see.
You need a Hoardo account. Make one at hoardo.com.
Each app you connect is listed in Hoardo under Settings › Connected apps, where you can disconnect it at any time.
Good to know
- Changes happen straight away. When you ask your AI app to add, move or update something, Hoardo does it at once.
There is no read-only connection: an app you connect can change your Hoardo as well as read it. Tools that only read
are marked
readOnlyHint, and tools that delete are markeddestructiveHint, so apps that ask before acting can do so. - Deleted things and boxes come back from History in the Hoardo app.
- Rooms and whole lists can't be deleted through the MCP server.
- Hoardo's own AI notes about your things stay in Hoardo. Apps don't see them.
Connect
Claude
- Open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it
Hoardo, pastehttps://www.hoardo.com/api/mcpand choose Add. - Choose Connect, sign in to Hoardo and choose Allow.
In Claude Code:
Then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to Hoardo.
ChatGPT
Custom MCP servers work in ChatGPT on the web, not in the mobile app. Which plans can add them, and whether they can make changes, is up to OpenAI.
- Go to Plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
- Enter the name
Hoardo. Under Connection, pastehttps://www.hoardo.com/api/mcpand choose OAuth. - Accept the warning and select Create as a plugin.
- Install it, sign in to Hoardo and select Allow. In a chat, type
@and pick Hoardo.
Cursor
Add Hoardo to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):
Open Cursor Settings › MCP, choose Connect (or Login) beside Hoardo, sign in to Hoardo and choose Allow.
Other apps
Any app that can add a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in should work. Give it
https://www.hoardo.com/api/mcp and sign in when it asks.
Tools
Read: only looks things up. Write: changes something. Destructive: deletes, or loses something for good.
