Remote MCP server for searching 5,630 Alpine mountain huts and reading their records, booking details, availability and route guides.
What you can do
Search huts by country, region, name, access difficulty, minimum elevation or proximity to a point
Read a hut's full record: location, elevation, season, capacity, facilities, booking, contact, access routes, FAQs and photos
Check free beds per night for a hut where current data exists
List countries and regions with slugs and hut counts
List published route and region guides with their URLs and related hut slugs
When to use it
Useful for trip planning and research in the Alps: finding huts near a point or above an elevation, comparing capacity, season and booking details, and checking whether bed availability is known before planning a route.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at hutlists.com; no package, environment variables, headers or authentication are declared.
Before you install
Availability data is often missing; when data is stale or cannot be refreshed the server reports coverage "none" with a reason and a booking link rather than a number, so treat it as unknown, not as no beds. Booking and contact details are informational; reservations happen elsewhere.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.hutlists%2Fhutlists/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

get-hut-availability
Get Hut Availability Tool
Free beds per night for one hut, where we hold current data. Most huts have none, and data that is too old or cannot be refreshed is withheld: the answer then says coverage "none" with a machine-readable reason, a plain-language message and the hut's booking link, which is a correct answer to pass on.
