Before you install
Requires an InsightfulPipe account and a paid subscription starting at the listed monthly price after a trial. All 82 actions are read-only, but queries consume the provider's data lookups and send the domains and keywords you ask about to InsightfulPipe and DataForSEO. Admins control which actions each connected account can use.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open DataForSEO MCP by InsightfulPipe in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

What is DataForSEO MCP?

DataForSEO MCP is a remote Model Context Protocol server hosted by InsightfulPipe. Access SERP results, backlink analysis, keyword research, domain analytics, on-page SEO audits, content analysis, and AI optimization insights.

Installation

Claude

  1. Copy the MCP Server URL: https://dataforseo.insightfulmcp.com/
  2. Open Claude Connectors Settings
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Add custom connector
  4. Paste the URL and click Add
  5. Click Connect and sign in to InsightfulPipe if asked. Claude then lists the connector as connected.

ChatGPT

Custom MCP servers are added through ChatGPT's Developer mode. Availability depends on your ChatGPT plan, and workspace admins may need to allow it.

  1. Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT settings
  2. Create a new app for a remote MCP server and paste the URL: https://dataforseo.insightfulmcp.com/
  3. Sign in to InsightfulPipe if asked. The connection finishes as soon as you are signed in.
