Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for IP intelligence, reputation checks, and network diagnostics, letting an assistant look up IPs, domains, and service access.

What you can do
  • Look up IP intelligence: geolocation, ISP, ASN, IP type, risk score and composite grade
  • Check IP reputation for proxy, VPN, Tor, blacklist and datacenter status with a risk verdict
  • Rate or score VPS, proxy and datacenter nodes with grades and use-case recommendations
  • Test service access: whether sites like ChatGPT, Claude, Netflix or GitHub are reachable from an IP or the server location
  • Run network diagnostics: DNS resolution, ICMP ping, traceroute and website availability
  • Query WHOIS records for domains and IPs, and identify MAC address vendors
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to judge whether an IP or proxy node is trustworthy, diagnose why a service is blocked or unreachable, or gather network and registration facts about a domain or host.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at ipipai.com; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. The geolocation tool is described as not requiring an API key.
Before you install
Queries are sent to a third-party service, which sees the IPs, domains and hosts you ask about. Network probes such as ping and traceroute originate from the server's location, not the user's machine, so results reflect that vantage point.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open IPIPAI MCP Server in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.ipipai%2Fipipai-mcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

lookup_ip

IP Intelligence Lookup

Query complete IP intelligence: geolocation, ISP, ASN, IP type (residential/datacenter/mobile/VPN/proxy/Tor), risk score, and IPIPAI composite score (0-100 with grade A+ to D). This is the primary tool for IP analysis.

Parametersiprequiredlangcheck_services

check_ip_reputation

IP Reputation Check

Check IP reputation: proxy/VPN detection, Tor exit node, blacklist status, hosting/datacenter classification. Returns a verdict (Safe / Low / Medium / High / Critical Risk) with pass/fail checks.

Parametersiprequired

check_service_access

Service Accessibility Check

Check if a specific service (ChatGPT, Claude, Netflix, Disney+, etc.) is accessible from a given IP location. Useful for diagnosing "why can't I access X?" questions.

Parametersiprequiredservicerequired

rate_ip_node

IP Node Rating

Comprehensive rating for VPS, proxy nodes, and datacenter IPs. Returns overall score (0-100), grade (A+ to D), 5-star ratings for AI/streaming/stability/security/network, recommended use cases, and warnings.

Parametersiprequired

score_ip_node

IP Node Quality Score

Score the quality and reliability of an IP/node using IP intelligence and network signals. Returns overall score (0-100), grade (A+ to D), 5-star ratings for AI/streaming/stability/security/network, recommended use cases, and warnings. Use this tool when the user asks whether an IP/node is high quality, clean, stable, or suitable for a specific network use case.

Parametersiprequired

lookup_ip_location

IP Geolocation (OpenIPAPI)

Quick IP geolocation lookup via OpenIPAPI. Returns country and city for an IP address. Lightweight and fast — no API key required.

Parametersiprequired

resolve_dns

DNS Resolution

Resolve a domain name to its A (IPv4) and AAAA (IPv6) DNS records.

Parametersdomainrequired

ping_host

Ping Test

Send ICMP ping packets to a host and measure latency. Returns min/avg/max latency and packet loss percentage.

Parameterscounttargetrequired

trace_route

Traceroute

Trace the network path from the server to a target host. Returns hop-by-hop IP, hostname, and latency for each hop.

Parameterstargetrequiredmax_hops

lookup_domain_whois

WHOIS Lookup

Query WHOIS registration info for a domain name or IP address. Returns registrar, creation date, expiry date, nameservers, and registrant info (if public).

Parametersqueryrequired

lookup_mac_vendor

MAC Address Vendor Lookup

Identify the manufacturer of a network device by its MAC address using the OUI database.

Parametersmacrequired

check_website_availability

Website Availability Check

Check if major websites (Google, GitHub, YouTube, Wikipedia, etc.) are accessible from the server location. Useful for censorship and network restriction detection.

Takes no parameters.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
