When to use it
Useful when you need to check whether a file, page or text carries recorded evidence of AI generation, or to recover the prompt and settings saved inside a generated image. Findings are quoted from records in the supplied copy, so it suits provenance review rather than authorship judgment.
Requirements
Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at isgenai.com/mcp; nothing to install. No authentication, API key or environment variables. Inputs are pasted text up to 16,000 characters, public URLs, or base64 files up to 20 MiB; network access is required.
Before you install
Read-only and creates no public report, but submitted text, URLs and files are sent to a third-party hosted service. Results reflect records in the supplied copy, which can be edited or removed; a missing signal does not prove human authorship, and screenshots or re-uploads often strip records. Logins, paywalls and CAPTCHAs are not bypassed.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open isGenAI in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

isGenAI MCP server

A free, hosted Model Context Protocol server that checks images, links, text and code for recorded evidence of AI use: C2PA Content Credentials, IPTC "AI-generated" labels, AI-use statements and the prompts saved by Stable Diffusion tools. Every finding quotes its source. It never gives a verdict from how pixels look.

This repository holds the listing metadata, client configuration and examples for the hosted service. The server itself runs at isgenai.com; there is nothing to install.

What results prove and do not prove

Findings come from records in the supplied copy. A record shows what the file or page states, and records can be edited or removed. "No AI signal detected" does not mean a person made the content: screenshots, re-exports and social uploads often strip records, so check the original file when it matters.
