When to use it
Useful when a homeowner asks an assistant for a local repair professional in a specific trade and town, wants to know how pros are vetted or what the service costs, or needs a fair price range or repair-versus-replace guidance before hiring.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at localhelpnow.com; no packages, environment variables or headers declared. No authentication is declared, so the assistant connects directly.
Before you install
The server does not create requests or bookings; the homeowner enters their own details on the linked page. Price ranges and vetting details are quoted from the site and should be checked against the linked source and its date. Results are limited to towns and trades the directory lists.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.localhelpnow%2Flocalhelpnow/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
The local pros LocalHelpNow lists for one trade in one town, in the order the directory page shows them (Google rating weighted by review count). Each result has the business name, rating, review count, town and the profile page where the homeowner can call or request a quote. Also returns a link to be matched to one pro instead.
