Remote MCP server that computes real natal birth charts, birth-place lookups and two-person synastry from an ephemeris, free and read-only.
What you can do
Calculate a natal chart from birth date, optional birth time and city, returning Sun, Moon and rising signs, planets with sign, degree and house, tightest aspects, and element and modality summaries
Look up birth cities by name and return up to six candidates with id, region and country to disambiguate a place
Compare two people's charts for synastry, returning overall tone, Sun element match, classic pairings and the tightest Moon, Venus, Mars and Sun contacts
Return links to the free full chart on the provider's site
When to use it
Useful when a user wants an astrology reading grounded in real ephemeris calculations rather than invented placements, or wants to compare two people's charts. It is a lightweight, no-setup addition for conversational astrology and reflection.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at the provider's site; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared. Network access is needed.
Before you install
Birth data (date, time and city) for one or two people is sent to a third-party service; the description says nothing is stored, but that is the provider's claim. Results are astrology for reflection, not prediction or advice, and without a birth time there is no rising sign or houses.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.lunonis%2Fastrology/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Calculate a real natal (birth) chart from a birth date, optional birth time and a city. Returns the Sun, Moon and rising signs, every planet with sign, degree and house, the five tightest aspects, an element and modality summary, and a link to the free full chart with the wheel on lunonis.com. Calculated in-house with an ephemeris (tropical zodiac, Placidus houses); nothing is stored. If the city name matches several places it returns status "ambiguous_place" with candidates: ask the user which one, then call again with that id as place.

search_places
Search places
Find birth cities by name. Returns up to 6 candidates { id, name, region, country }, the biggest first. Use it to disambiguate a city, then pass the chosen id as the place of natal_chart or compatibility.

compatibility
Compatibility (synastry)
Compare two people's charts (synastry) from their birth data. Returns the overall tone (flowing, mixed or charged), whether the Sun elements match, the classic pairings (Venus-Mars, Sun-Moon, Moon-Moon, Venus-Venus), the tightest Moon, Venus, Mars and Sun contacts between the two charts, and a link to the free full comparison on lunonis.com. Counted aspects only: there is no compatibility score. Nothing is stored.
