Remote MCP server for quoting, checking capacity and tracking orders when buying native gas on Base, Arbitrum, Optimism or Polygon with USDC via x402.
What you can do
Get free USDC price quotes for a given amount of native gas, with a breakdown and the exact x402 payment URL
Check live per-chain float, availability, prices and daily caps before paying
Look up an order's status by order_id: pending, processing, delivered with a payout transaction, or refunded
Read step-by-step buying instructions plus the payment URL for funding an address
When to use it
Use it when an assistant needs to price or check availability of native gas top-ups for an address on Base, Arbitrum, Optimism or Polygon, or to follow up on an existing order. It is a quoting and status layer, not a payment tool.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package install, environment variables or headers are declared. Payment itself happens outside the server: an x402 client such as @x402/fetch must pay the returned URL with USDC on Base, gasless via an EIP-3009 signature.
Before you install
The server cannot sign payments; the x402 client you connect holds the signing capability and spends USDC on Base, so review quotes and caps before paying. Orders move real funds to a destination address, so verify the address and chain. Order status lookups expose order IDs to the service.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.madebydevx.agentgas%2Fagentgas/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Free price quote: how much USDC (on Base, paid via gasless x402) buys a given amount of native gas (ETH on base/arbitrum/optimism, POL on polygon). Returns price_usdc, breakdown and the exact x402 URL to pay. Rejects bad input or over-capacity before any payment.
