Give AI agents their own email inboxes: list, read and send mail via scoped, revocable OAuth grants.
Overview
Mailows gives AI agents their own email inboxes on your domain, letting an assistant list, read and send mail through scoped, revocable OAuth grants.
- What you can do
- List and read mail in the agent's own inboxes
- Send email from a dedicated agent address
- Work within inboxes you assign and grants you can revoke independently
- When to use it
- Use it when you want an assistant to handle email on its own address rather than a shared human mailbox, for example reading incoming messages or sending replies under controlled, revocable access.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint at mcp.mailows.com over streamable HTTP; no local package. OAuth is required, and first use triggers a browser authorization flow (authorization code with PKCE). Each agent needs a dedicated address on your domain, and tokens are kept in the MCP client credential store.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Mailows in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.mailows%2Fmailows/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Mailows for Grok
Remote MCP plugin that connects Grok Build to the hosted Mailows server at https://mcp.mailows.com/mcp.
Mailows gives AI agents their own real email inboxes — not a shared human mailbox. Each agent gets a dedicated address on your domain; you decide which inboxes it may touch and can revoke grants independently.
Install
Once listed in the xAI plugin marketplace:
Or add the remote server directly:
First use triggers an OAuth browser flow (authorization code + PKCE). Tokens stay in the MCP client credential store.
