Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that extracts typed JSON from PDFs and images using extraction schemas you define and save in a workspace.

What you can do
  • Parse a document: send a PDF, PNG or JPEG as base64 and get back typed values plus a status, with missing values returned as null.
  • Manage schemas: list, read, create and update named extraction schemas that define the fields to pull out.
  • Check the account: see the workspace, token and credits left this month.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to turn invoices or scanned documents into structured JSON matching a fixed field set, and you want the schema stored server-side so repeated extractions stay consistent.
Requirements
A remote endpoint reached over streamable HTTP; no local install. A bearer token in the Authorization header, obtained as a bk_live_ key from the API Keys section of the doc2json console. Credits are consumed per page.
Before you install
Documents are uploaded to a third-party service, though the file is stated not to be stored. Each parsed page costs one credit, so usage spends a metered allowance. The bearer token is a secret and should not be shared. Creating or updating schemas changes data in the workspace.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open doc2json in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.manoonlabs%2Fdoc2json/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

create_schema

Save a named extraction schema in this workspace. A schema is {"type":"object","properties":{...}}. Each property is {"type":T} where T is one of any, null, boolean, string, number, date, array, object. An optional description, at most 400 characters, tells the model how to read that field. An optional required array lists the keys that must be present. A date is a string yyyy-mm-dd. An array adds "items" (one node). An object adds "properties" and may add "required". At most 4 levels below the root, 100 keys, and 16384 bytes.

update_schema

Rename a saved schema, replace its definition, or both. A schema is {"type":"object","properties":{...}}.
