Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant look up aggregate Google Maps data on local businesses in a city, including ratings, reviews, and businesses without a website.

What you can do
Provides aggregate lookups of Google Maps business data. get_local_market_snapshot returns sample size, average star rating, typical review count, share without a website, share with a phone number, and up to 10 example businesses for one business type in one city; find_businesses_without_website lists businesses with no website (phone numbers masked); list_available_markets lists the business types and cities with snapshots.
When to use it
Use it when you need a quick read on ratings, review counts, or website coverage for a business type in a city, or want to find businesses that may need a website.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint over streamable HTTP; needs network access. No accounts, API keys, or environment variables are declared.
Before you install
Results come from third-party aggregated Google Maps business data, and example phone numbers are masked; data may be incomplete or out of date and should not be the sole basis for decisions.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Maps Harvest in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.mapsharvest%2Fmaps-harvest/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

get_local_market_snapshot

Local market snapshot

Snapshot of one type of local business in one city, from Google Maps listings: how many listings the sample holds, the average star rating, the typical review count, the share without a website, the share showing a phone number, and up to 10 example businesses (name, address, rating, website; phone numbers are masked). Covers common business types in major cities of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Germany. When a city or business type is not covered, the result lists what is.

Score

83% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
