Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server that converts any URL or HTML into clean markdown, tables, links or JSON for an AI assistant.

What you can do
  • Fetch a URL or accept raw HTML and extract its content.
  • Return the page as clean markdown, as tables, as a list of links, or as structured JSON.
  • Hand the extracted content to the assistant for reading, summarizing or further processing.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs readable page content rather than raw HTML, for example to read an article, pull tables or collect links from a page the user points to.
Requirements
Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the PyPI package mcpproducts-extract, so a Python environment is needed. No accounts, API keys, environment variables or headers are declared. Desktop only; not executable in a browser.
Before you install
It fetches arbitrary URLs from the user's machine, so pages the assistant is asked to open are requested from the local network and their content is passed to the model. No credentials are declared, but any page content retrieved may be sent to the model provider.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open ExtractMCP in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Score

15% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.

Publish an icon in the registry entry.
