Read-only domain lookup: check availability and prices, screen many names, and read public records for any domain.
What you can do
Check whether specific domain names can be registered, with first-year and renewal prices in USD
Screen up to 500 names at once, or one name across every ending, for registration status, registrar and expiry
Look up one existing domain's registrar, dates, lock status, nameservers, email setup and HTTPS response
Suggest registrable names from a keyword or idea, with prices
Explain a domain ending's registration, renewal and transfer prices, rules, WHOIS privacy and DNSSEC
When to use it
Useful when someone is choosing, buying or researching domain names and wants availability, pricing or public registration details without opening a registrar site. Also handy for quick due diligence on an existing domain's registrar, expiry and email configuration.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at nymwell.com over streamable HTTP; no sign-in, API key or environment variables declared. Network access to the service is needed.
Before you install
Read-only and without sign-in, so nothing is registered or purchased. Results are informational: the screen tool is a quick check from DNS and public registry records, not the registrar's answer, so confirm names before suggesting them. Answers link to nymwell.com for details.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.nymwell%2Flookup/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Use this when someone wants to know whether specific domain names can be registered and what they cost. Checks up to 20 names (exact domains, or a name plus endings) with the live registrar and returns, for each, whether it can be registered, the first-year and renewal price in USD, and the reason when it cannot. For many names at once, use screen_domains first.

screen_domains
Screen many domain names
Use this to check many names at once (up to 500, or one name across every ending with tlds ["all"]): whether each is already registered, from DNS and public registry records, with its registrar and expiry date. It is a quick screen, not the registrar's answer: confirm the names you will suggest with search_domains.
Parametersnametldsdetailsdomains
domain_info
Look up a domain's public records
Use this when someone asks about one existing domain: which registrar it is with, when it was registered and expires, whether it is locked, its nameservers and DNS host, its email setup (MX, SPF, DMARC) and whether its website answers over HTTPS. Public records only; owner contact details are not returned.
Parametersdomainrequired
suggest_domains
Suggest domain names
Use this when someone has a keyword or an idea but no name yet: returns domain names that fit it and can be registered now, with their prices.

get_tld_info
Get domain ending details
Use this when someone asks what a domain ending (such as .com, .ai or .io) costs or what its rules are: registration, renewal and transfer price, allowed terms, days left to renew after expiry, WHOIS privacy, DNSSEC and HSTS preload.
