Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote OCR service that lets an assistant read Hebrew and English PDFs and images into text, key fields and tables, page by page.

What you can do
  • Read a PDF or image (JPEG, PNG, WebP) and get back its text, key fields such as vendor, dates, totals, VAT and ids, and its tables, page by page, including mixed right-to-left Hebrew and English lines.
  • Check how many pages the API key's account can still read.
  • Get a Stripe Checkout link for a page pack to hand to the user.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to extract structured content from scanned or digital documents, especially Hebrew or mixed Hebrew-English invoices and forms, without running OCR locally.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at ocr-ai.com over streamable HTTP. Requires an OCR-AI API key sent as a Bearer token in the Authorization header; the first key on an account includes 100 free pages once.
Before you install
Document contents are sent to a third-party OCR service. Each page read consumes one page of the key's account quota, and failed pages are not charged. The buy_pages tool returns a Stripe Checkout link; the user pays in their browser and pages are added to the key's account, so treat the link as a real payment request. Keep the API key secret.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open OCR-AI in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.ocr-ai%2Focr-ai/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

read_document

Read a document

Read a PDF or an image (JPEG, PNG, WebP) and return its text, its key fields (vendor, dates, totals, VAT, ids…) and its tables, page by page. Built for Hebrew and English documents, including mixed right-to-left lines. Costs one page from the key's account per page read; a page that fails is not charged. Up to 20 pages per call: read longer PDFs in ranges with "pages". A call of many pages can take more than a minute. Pages your client stops waiting for may still be charged, so if a call times out, read smaller ranges, for example 5 pages per call.
