A free remote MCP server for US payroll math: time card hours, decimal-hour conversion, overtime pay and tip pool splits.
What you can do
Add up time cards from start and end times, subtract unpaid breaks, handle shifts past midnight and split overtime by workweek under US federal or state daily rules (California, Alaska, Nevada, Colorado). Convert between hours and minutes and decimal hours in either direction. Compute regular, overtime and double-time pay from an hourly rate and hours. Split a tip pool by hours worked, rounded to the cent so shares add up to the total.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to check payroll arithmetic: totalling a time card, converting timesheets to decimal hours, estimating overtime pay, or dividing a tip pool among staff. It suits small-business and shift-work calculations that follow US federal or the listed state overtime rules.
Requirements
Runs as a remote endpoint at paycheckhours.com over streamable HTTP. No sign-in, API key, header or environment variable is declared, and no local package is needed.
Before you install
Results are calculations only; overtime rules cover US federal law and the daily rules of California, Alaska, Nevada and Colorado, so other jurisdictions may not be handled. Verify figures before using them for actual payroll or payouts.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.paycheckhours%2Fcalculators/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Adds up a time card (up to 14 days, 7 per workweek) from start and end times in 24-hour HH:MM, subtracting unpaid breaks; shifts past midnight are handled. Splits overtime per workweek under US federal law (over 40 hours, 1.5x) or under the daily rules of California, Alaska, Nevada or Colorado, and gives gross pay when an hourly rate is given.
Converts hours and minutes (H:MM) to decimal hours, or decimal hours to hours and minutes. 7:45 is 7.75 hours.

Overtime pay
Regular, overtime and double-time pay from an hourly rate and hours. Overtime multiplier defaults to 1.5 (US federal minimum for covered, non-exempt work over 40 hours a week); double time is 2x.
Splits a tip pool by hours worked, rounded to the cent so the shares add up exactly to the total.
