Overview

AI-generated overview

PDFOven renders PDFs and PNG images from HTML, Markdown, URLs or templates, and edits existing PDFs, through a hosted remote MCP endpoint.

What you can do
  • Render PDFs and PNG images from HTML, Markdown, a URL, or a saved template with data, including built-in social card templates
  • Merge, split and compress PDFs, and stamp text or image watermarks onto pages
  • List, read, create, update and delete reusable templates stored in the account
  • Inspect a fillable PDF's form fields and fill them by name, optionally flattening the result
  • Return rendered files as base64 resources or inline images
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to produce documents or images on demand — reports, invoices, social cards, screenshots of a page — or to tidy up and fill existing PDFs without running local rendering software.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at pdfoven.com; no local package. Requires a PDFOven account and an API key sent as a bearer token in the Authorization header. Renders draw on the account's monthly quota, which varies by plan.
Before you install
The API key is a secret sent in the Authorization header. Every successful render, merge, split, compress, watermark or form fill consumes one render from the monthly quota, and templates are capped per plan. Template deletion is permanent and breaks renders that reference it. Content sent for rendering, including URLs and template data, goes to a third-party service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open PDFOven in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.pdfoven%2Fpdfoven/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
