Overview

AI-generated overview

Picks one New Year's resolution from a fixed bank of 30 actions, sized to the user's time, with a first step and weekly check-in.

What you can do
  • Pick one resolution from four quiz answers (life area, what felt off, weekly time, past failures), with a week-one first move, guard line, check-in prompt and note to future you
  • Search the fixed bank of 30 actions by life area, feeling or keyword, with match counts
  • Read full detail on one action: first move, doses at 30 minutes, 2 hours and 5 hours a week, guard lines and similar actions
When to use it
Useful when someone wants help choosing a single New Year's resolution and wants a concrete, time-sized plan rather than a long list. Also handy for browsing the small fixed bank of actions before committing.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no authentication, environment variables or headers declared. Network access to the hosted endpoint is needed.
Before you install
All tools are read-only; nothing is bought, booked, saved or tracked. The bank is fixed at 30 actions and holds no plan for a specific subject such as a language or instrument, so results are limited to what it contains. It is not a source of medical, financial or personal health advice.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Keep One Resolution in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.pickmyresolution%2Fkeep-one-resolution/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

pick_resolution

Keep One Resolution

One resolution, not ten: the single pick small enough to still be alive in December, with a first step, a weekly check-in, and a letter to future you. Returns ONE resolution from a fixed bank of 30 actions, computed by the same quiz engine as keeponeresolution.com. The four answers pick the action and size it: the life area and what felt off choose the action, the weekly time sizes the dose (each action has its own dose at each time level, always inside the time they can give), and what made past plans fail picks the guard line. The result carries the resolution, a first move for week one (week one runs at about half the dose, 5-minute floor, and the result states that week-one size plus a stakes line counted from the plan's own weekly sessions), the guard line, a copyable weekly check-in prompt built for that resolution, a short future-you note written for that same plan, share text, and a link to keeponeresolution.com. There are 360 possible answer paths and 90 distinct resolutions. When an answer is missing or not one of the quiz choices, the result says what is needed and lists the valid choices. Example: health, felt drained, 30 minutes a week, forgot last time returns the single pick 'Take a short walk: 10 min, 3x a week.'

search_resolutions

Search resolutions

Searches the fixed bank of 30 resolution actions by life area, by what felt off, by a keyword, or by a mix of those. Returns up to 30 matches in bank order, each with its area and feeling, plus the total number of matches, including when there are none. Use it to browse what the quiz can pick before running the full quiz with pick_resolution.

get_resolution

Get resolution details

Returns the full detail for one action in the bank of 30: its life area and feeling, the first move for week one, the resolution at all three time levels (30 minutes, 2 hours, and 5 hours a week), the guard line for each kind of past failure, and up to 3 similar actions. Accepts an action id or name from pick_resolution or search_resolutions, or an area plus a feeling. When nothing matches, the result says so and gives example ids.
