Overview

AI-generated overview

Searches, documents and installs PixilUI React components for AI product interfaces, returning props, source and shadcn CLI install commands.

What you can do
  • Search and browse components by describing the UI job, category or tier
  • Read one item's usage notes, props, keyboard and accessibility details, dependencies and install command
  • Get a single shadcn CLI command that installs several items, plus the registries snippet for components.json
  • Fetch raw source files with install paths, or a self-contained standalone file for free components
  • Retrieve the PixilUI skill files (design, motion, copy, accessibility, composition, responsive, checklist) for coding agents
When to use it
Useful when building an AI product interface in React and you want the assistant to pick and install ready-made components such as approval cards, run timelines, streaming text or tool call rows instead of writing them from scratch.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local package or runtime. A React project using the shadcn CLI and the PixilUI foundation tokens. Pro items need a browser login via the /mcp/pro URL or a Pro access token sent as an Authorization Bearer header, and the PIXILUI_TOKEN environment variable for the install command.
Before you install
Pro source is withheld without a login or token, and the server asks that Pro items not be reconstructed from their descriptions. It records each item handover (slug, tier, source, time, and token or user id when logged in), one connection event for browser logins, and a 30-day one-way hash of the IP address when a token is sent; there is no opt-out, though anonymous connections keep the record anonymous. Installing items writes files into the project.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open PixilUI components in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.pixilui%2Fpixilui/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Tools

search_items

Search components

Find PixilUI items for a UI job. Describe what the interface has to do in plain words ("ask before the agent sends", "show tool calls with their output", "modal to confirm a delete"). Searches titles, descriptions, when-to-use notes and tags and returns the best matches first. Call this before writing any UI by hand.

Parameterstiertypelimitqueryrequiredcategory

list_items

List components

Browse every PixilUI item, optionally filtered by category or tier. Returns slug, title, kind, category, tier and a one-line description.

Parameterstiercategory

get_item

Read a component

Everything needed to use one item: when to use it and when not, the props table, keyboard, accessibility, motion, files, npm dependencies and the install command. Free items include their source. Pro items include source only when a valid Pro token is sent.

ParametersslugrequiredincludeSource

get_install_command

Install command

One shadcn CLI command that installs every listed item into the project, plus the components.json registries snippet to add once. Pro items also need the PIXILUI_TOKEN environment variable.

Parametersslugsrequired

get_source

Raw source

The raw files of one item with their install paths, for projects that cannot run the shadcn CLI. Prefer get_install_command. Pro items need a valid Pro token. shape "standalone" returns one self-contained .tsx instead (free components): it needs only react and motion, no Tailwind and no other items.

Parametersslugrequiredshape

get_skill

Agent skill

The PixilUI skill for coding agents: SKILL.md and its rule files (design, motion, copy, accessibility, composition, responsive, checklist, components by job, a worked example). Call without a file for SKILL.md and the file list, or with a file name for one file.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
