Overview

AI-generated overview

Pretty QR lets an assistant generate branded, template-styled QR codes as PNG or SVG files and open them in a hosted editor.

What you can do
  • Browse available QR templates with names, descriptions and preview images
  • Generate a styled QR code file as a 2048 px PNG or SVG
  • Start hosting a photo, video, audio file or PDF for a hosted file QR code
  • Save a design to the account and get a link that opens it in the Pretty QR editor
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to produce a ready-to-use, on-brand QR code for a link or a hosted file, or to hand the user an editable design link instead of a static image.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at pretty-qr.com over streamable HTTP. Requires a bearer API key from the service, sent in the Authorization header. Network access is needed, and file QR codes require uploading the file with the returned curl command.
Before you install
The API key is a secret sent in the Authorization header. create_qr_code and open_in_editor each count as one QR API request, so usage may be metered or billed. Designs are saved to the account tied to the key, and hosted files are limited to 10 per account; upload URLs expire after 30 minutes. Uploaded files are hosted by the third-party service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Pretty QR in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.pretty-qr%2Fpretty-qr/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
