Overview

AI-generated overview

QuasarUI lets an assistant search a catalogue of Quasar Framework (Vue) UI components and paste their source code into a project.

What you can do
  • Search components by plain-language query or slug, up to 20 matches with free or paid access marked
  • List all blocks with their tags, component counts, free counts and page URLs
  • List the components inside a block, each marked free or paid
  • Fetch a component's full Vue SFC source by slug
  • Get setup guidance for Quasar CLI, Nuxt or Vite, including required icon sets
When to use it
Useful when building a Vue app with Quasar Framework and you want the assistant to find ready-made UI pieces, such as a pricing table or login form, and drop their code into the project. Free components work without any account.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at the server's hosted address, or the npm package quasarui-mcp run locally via npx for stdio-only clients. An Access Key (QUASARUI_ACCESS_KEY environment variable or Authorization bearer header) is needed only for paid components and requires an account with All Access or Blocks Pro. Rate limit of 60 requests per minute per IP and per key.
Before you install
The Access Key is a secret; a wrong, revoked or malformed key returns 401 and the server does not fall back to free components. Paid component source is only returned with a valid entitlement. Pasting fetched source writes code into your project, so review it before use. Requests go to the vendor's hosted server.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open QuasarUI in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.quasarui%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

README

QuasarUI MCP Server

Let your AI assistant find QuasarUI Components for Quasar Framework (Vue) and paste their source into your project.

Ask for "a pricing table with a monthly and yearly toggle" and your assistant searches the catalogue, picks a matching Component and pastes its code.

  • Without a key: every Free Component. No account needed.
  • With an Access Key: every Paid Component too, if your account holds All Access or Blocks Pro. Create a key.

The server is hosted at https://www.quasarui.com/mcp. New Components appear there as soon as they are published; nothing here needs updating.

Connect your client

Replace YOUR_ACCESS_KEY with your key, or leave the key out for Free Components only.

Claude Code

sh
claude mcp add --transport http quasarui https://www.quasarui.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_ACCESS_KEY"

Cursor

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or .cursor/mcp.json in a project:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "quasarui": {      "url": "https://www.quasarui.com/mcp",      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_ACCESS_KEY" }    }  }}

Claude Desktop and other stdio clients

Clients that only start local servers can use this package, which forwards to the hosted server:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "quasarui": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["-y", "quasarui-mcp"],      "env": { "QUASARUI_ACCESS_KEY": "YOUR_ACCESS_KEY" }    }  }}

Docker

sh
docker build -t quasarui-mcp .docker run -i --rm -e QUASARUI_ACCESS_KEY=YOUR_ACCESS_KEY quasarui-mcp

Tools

ToolWhat it does
list_blocksLists every Block with its Component counts
list_componentsLists the Components in a Block, each marked free or paid
search_componentsFinds Components by what they are, such as "login form" or "sidebar"
get_componentReturns a Component's source
get_setup_guideExplains how to set up a project and paste a Component

Without access, asking for a Paid Component returns its preview link and how to unlock it, never its code.

Limits and errors

  • Each IP address can make 60 requests a minute, and so can each Access Key. Past that the server answers 429 for a short while.
  • A wrong, revoked or malformed key gets 401. The server never falls back to Free Components for a bad key.

License

The code in this repository is MIT. Components returned by the server are covered by the QuasarUI license.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
