Overview

AI-generated overview

Inspects and removes embedded metadata such as EXIF, XMP, IPTC, C2PA, PDF info and Word properties from images and documents.

What you can do
Read EXIF, XMP, IPTC, C2PA and AI-generation markers from JPEG, PNG and WebP images, and read PDF info dictionaries and Word core and app properties. Accept files as a public file_url or as base64 content. Return a cleaned JPEG, PNG, WebP, PDF or DOCX as base64 together with the fields that were removed. Choose an ai_only mode that keeps camera EXIF and GPS, or an all mode that removes them too; PDF and Word files drop document properties in either mode.
When to use it
Useful when you need to check whether an image or document carries hidden metadata, such as AI-generation markers or location data, before publishing it, or when you want a cleaned copy with the removed fields listed.
Requirements
A remote endpoint; no local runtime, account, API key or environment variable is declared. The assistant needs network access to the service, and each file must be supplied as a public file_url or as base64 content.
Before you install
Files are sent to a third-party service, either as a public file_url or as base64 content, so avoid confidential documents. The strip tool returns a new base64 file rather than editing in place, so you must save the result yourself. Choosing the all mode also removes camera EXIF and GPS, which may be wanted for provenance or location records.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Remove AI Meta in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.removeaimeta%2Fremoveaimeta/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
