Lets an assistant look up FEMA NFIP flood claim statistics by state or county, damage ratios by water depth, and county-level FEMA profiles.
What you can do
It exposes five read-only tools over FEMA open data. One returns NFIP paid building claims for a state or DC for 2020-2024, with claim counts, quartiles and median amounts paid, and the dominant flood event. Another returns county-level claims for 2015-2024 and 2020-2024 by FIPS code or county name. A third gives median damage ratios by interior water depth band, optionally multiplied by a building value. A county profile tool combines claims, disaster declarations since 2000, inspections, community status and CRS classes, and a source-listing tool shows the datasets and terms behind the answers.
When to use it
Useful when assessing flood risk or claim history for a US state or county, comparing damage by water depth, or gathering FEMA context for a property or community. It suits read-only research rather than transactional work.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at the provider's site; no package, account, API key, header or environment variable is declared. Network access to the endpoint is needed.
Before you install
Answers are FEMA open-data statistics, not repair estimates or advice for a specific home; amounts are what NFIP paid, and a county missing from the table falls back to its state row. A value the source lacks is returned as not in source. The server is read-only and declares no credentials.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.restoreworth%2Ffema-data/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
NFIP paid building claims for one US state or DC, 2020-2024 (FEMA OpenFEMA, NFIP Redacted Claims v3): number of paid claims, quartiles and median of the amount paid, dominant flood event and its share. These are amounts paid by NFIP, not repair cost.

nfip_claims_by_county
NFIP paid building claims by county
NFIP paid building claims for one county, 2015-2024 and 2020-2024. Give a 5-digit FIPS code, or a county name and its state. A county absent from the table (it keeps counties with at least 100 paid claims) gets the state row, and the answer says so. These are amounts paid by NFIP, not repair cost.
Parametersfipsstatecounty
flood_damage_by_water_depth
NFIP flood damage by interior water depth
Median damage ratio (FEMA actual cash value of the damage / actual cash value of the building) on NFIP paid claims 2015-2024, by interior water depth band and single-family one-floor segment. With building_value_usd, returns ratio x value: the median ratio of the band, not an estimate for this home.
FEMA open-data profile of one county by 5-digit FIPS: NFIP paid claims summary, disaster declarations since 2000, FEMA inspections of owner applicants (Individuals and Households Program), NFIP Community Status Book and CRS classes. A value the source does not give is returned as "not in source", never 0.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
