Your AI reads comments, threads, transcripts and ads on 11 platforms, and links every quote.
Overview
Hosted connector that lets an AI read public posts, comments, transcripts and ad libraries across 11 social platforms, with a link on every quote.
- What you can do
- Read Reddit subreddits, rules, posts and comment trees, plus Hacker News stories and search
- Read X posts, threads, replies, trends and Articles, and Bluesky and Threads posts and profiles
- Read YouTube videos with transcripts, comments, channel uploads and Shorts, and TikTok and Instagram videos, comments, sounds and hashtags
- Read LinkedIn posts, profiles and company pages, plus Facebook pages and groups, and Pinterest pins and boards
- Search the Meta, TikTok, Google and LinkedIn ad libraries and look up accounts by name
- Return every item with its link so answers can be checked and cited
- When to use it
- Useful for social media managers, content strategists and marketers who need to know what a market is saying before writing content or ads, and want quotes with sources inside the chat they already use. It is read-only research, not posting or community management.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint added to the AI app, with OAuth sign-in by email and a one-time code. No local runtime, API keys or social media passwords are needed. A new account starts with 100 free reads in its first 7 days; continued use requires a paid plan or pay-as-you-go reads.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Scrollhound in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.scrollhound%2Fscrollhound/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Scrollhound
Social research for your AI. Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools read Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook, Pinterest and Hacker News in full, and quote what they read with a link on every quote.

Who it's for. For social media managers and content strategists who have to know what their market is saying before they make content or ads, Scrollhound is the research connector for Claude and ChatGPT that reads the comments, transcripts and ad libraries on 11 platforms and quotes every source with a link. Unlike listening dashboards and browser agents, it works inside the chat you already use, reads the whole thread, and never posts.
This repository holds what you need to add Scrollhound to an AI app: the connector details, the Claude plugin and the research skills. Scrollhound itself is a hosted service; there is no server code to run here.
What it reads
Accounts can also be found by name on Instagram, TikTok and X.
Every item comes back with its link, so answers can be checked and cited. Scrollhound only reads: it never posts, likes, follows or messages anyone, and it never asks for your social media passwords.
Connect it
One link works everywhere:
Sign in with your email and a one-time code when your app asks. A new account starts with 100 free reads to use in its first 7 days, no card needed.
Claude plugin
The plugin adds the connector and the research skills to Claude Code and Cowork in one step:
Research skills
Skills teach your AI how to do a research job well: which sources to read, how much, and how to
present the result with quotes and links. They work with the connector or with the
scrollhound CLI.
Install them
- Claude Code and Cowork: install the plugin above.
- Claude (web and desktop): zip a skill's folder and upload it in Claude's skills settings, with the Scrollhound connector added.
- Terminal agents:
npm i -g scrollhound, thenscrollhound skill install(add--openclawfor OpenClaw).
Pricing
100 free reads for your first 7 days, then monthly plans or pay-as-you-go reads. See scrollhound.com/#pricing.
