When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs authoritative US public-company filings and financial or governance data without building its own EDGAR pipeline: due diligence, financial statement review, insider and institutional ownership checks, or tracking corporate events and SEC enforcement.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Requires a SecFeed API key sent as an Authorization bearer header; a free key is available from the provider. Network access to the provider's endpoint.
Before you install
The API key is a secret passed in the Authorization header, so keep it out of logs and shared configs. Most tools are read-only lookups, but some responses are large (for example all company facts), which can consume context. Queries and lookups are sent to the third-party provider rather than to the SEC directly.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SecFeed: SEC EDGAR filings in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
