What you can do
Submit a vehicle owner's total-loss intake with contact details, agent identification and a consent attestation, returning a receipt and a customer confirmation link and message to relay. Fetch the current receipt and status for a submitted intake, including the confirm link while still confirmable. Attach the insurer's Market Valuation Report PDF so it is parsed for vehicle, mileage, offer, insurer and loss date, refreshing the preliminary. Get a no-commitment preliminary market read with comparable listing percentiles, an odometer-adjusted mid and the gap versus the insurer's offer. Look up state total-loss rules, including threshold and method, licensing and third-party appraisal rules, c
When to use it
Use it when helping a vehicle owner through a total-loss claim: gathering an intake, relaying the confirmation link, checking status, uploading the insurer's valuation report, or getting an early market read and state-specific rules before deciding on an appraisal.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at secondappraisal.com; no local runtime or package. An optional Authorization header with a Bearer agent token gives registered agents priority handling; anonymous use is allowed.
Before you install
Submitting an intake sends a vehicle owner's contact details and loss information to a third party, so obtain the owner's consent and attestation first. The confirmation link and customer message are meant to be relayed to the customer. The preliminary estimate is explicitly not an appraisal and stores nothing about the customer. Uploading a valuation report sends the insurer's document to the service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SecondAppraisal Total-Loss Intake in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.secondappraisal%2Ftotal-loss-intake/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

submit_total_loss_intake

Submit a total-loss situation

Submit a vehicle owner's total-loss situation to SecondAppraisal on their behalf. Minimum: one of customer.phone / customer.email, your `agent` self-identification, and a `consent.attestation`. Returns a receipt with `customer_confirmation_url` (one tap confirms), a relayable `customer_message`, an optional `preliminary` market read, `contact_policy` (we will email/text a welcome and a person will call to confirm the request came from the customer or their agent), and `pricing` — the consultation is free; if the owner wants more, Appraisal Research is $199 (paid up front, no guarantee) or the Appointed Appraiser Service (our Appraisal Research, appointment as the customer's appraiser under the policy's appraisal clause, determining the amount of loss with the insurer's appraiser, and the appraisal award letter) is $495 with a $25 discount for customers you send ($470; a card HOLD, not a charge). The guarantee applies once SecondAppraisal accepts the consultation and serves as the customer's appraiser: if the appraisal award, or a higher offer the insurer makes instead, is less than $1,000 above the insurer's offer on the day SecondAppraisal accepted, the fee is waived and the hold released. An umpire's fee, if one is needed, is separate. The $25 applies to the Appointed Appraiser Service (`representation`) only. You may quote `pricing` verbatim; payment always happens on our site by the customer's own click (`checkout` links appear once they have confirmed) — never collect card details. Read `customer_message` to the user verbatim.
