Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that collects real Google and Google Maps search results, including pixel ranks, ads, AI Overviews and cited sources, for an assistant.

What you can do
  • Run Google searches and collect the full rendered results page: organic results, ads, local pack, People Also Ask and AI Overview with citations, each with its block rank and page position.
  • Collect Google Maps listings for keywords from a given place, with rank, name, CID, category, address, website, rating, review count and opening status.
  • Retrieve results of searches already created, list account searches, and check queue status.
  • Analyze which domains Google cites in AI Overviews across existing searches, with keyword counts, mentions and best position.
  • Check the account balance in euros and list supported Google location/language versions.
When to use it
Useful for SEO and local SEO work, rank tracking, competitor and AI Overview citation analysis, or any task where an assistant needs actual Google or Google Maps results rather than a generic web search.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Requires a Semscraper account and an API key sent as an Authorization bearer header. Network access to the endpoint.
Before you install
Searches are paid: creating a google_search or google_maps search spends account credit, so check the balance and queue status before large batches. The API key is a secret and must be kept out of shared logs. Search history and results stay in the account and are visible through the listing tools.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Semscraper in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.semscraper%2Fsemscraper/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Tools

google_maps

Google Maps results

Collects the listings of a Google Maps search for one or more keywords, in the order Google Maps shows them, from a given place. Each listing comes with its rank, name (title), CID, category (type), address, website, rating, review count, opening status and the snippet shown. Use it for local SEO, local competition and market research. Paid from the account balance, same price as google_search. Returns rating and review count, not the full text of reviews.

get_serp_results

Get results by ID

Returns searches already created (google_search or google_maps), by their IDs (serp_...), e.g. the pending_ids of a previous call. Free: the searches were paid when created.

Parametersidsrequiredblocksdomainwait_secondsmax_items_per_block

ai_overview_sources

AI Overview sources

Computes, on the server, which domains Google cites in the AI Overviews of searches already created (google_search IDs): for each domain, the number of keywords where it is cited, the number of mentions, the keywords and its best position on the page. Also returns how many searches have an AI Overview. Free. Best tool to answer "which sites does Google cite in its AI Overviews on these keywords": one small answer instead of every SERP. Based on source URLs, not on brand names.

Parametersidsrequiredtopwait_seconds

list_searches

Search history

Lists the searches of the account, most recent first (ID, engine, keyword, device, location, language, depth, geolocation, status, whether the results were already fetched, cost, creation date), without their results. Free. Covers every search made with the account, through this server or the API. Use it to find IDs (e.g. "the last 10 searches", "today's searches"), and whenever a google_search or google_maps call failed, timed out or lost its answer: the searches were probably created and paid already, so fetch them with get_serp_results instead of searching again.

Parametersdatelimitcursorstatus

get_balance

Account balance

Returns the balance of the Semscraper account, in euros. Free.

Takes no parameters.

list_google_versions

Google versions

Lists the supported Google versions as location / language pairs (186 Google domains, 117 languages), to pick valid location and language values. Free. Filter with a country domain, a code or a language name to keep the answer short.

Parametersfilter

get_queue_status

Queue status

Returns how many searches of the account are pending, processing or done. Free. The account has its own queue: the robots serve accounts in turn, so a large batch flows through gradually.

Takes no parameters.

Score

83% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
