Before you install
Sending a fax is a real, paid action: the basic endpoint returns a payment link and nothing is sent or charged until the user pays there. The signed-in account endpoint sends immediately from page credits, so a mistaken call can spend credits and fax a document. Documents are uploaded to Faxwell, a third party. The signed-in server reportedly cannot buy credits or open received faxes.

Installation

  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Faxwell MCP server

Send a fax from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any app that supports MCP servers over HTTP. Faxwell faxes any US or Canada number, as low as 6¢ a page, with no subscription.

This repository holds Faxwell's entry in the official MCP Registry (com.sendfaxwell/faxwell). The servers themselves are hosted by Faxwell; there is nothing to install.

Send a fax

Send a fax to a US or Canada fax number with Faxwell (as low as 6¢ a page, no subscription, no account needed first). Give the document as base64 (PDF, PNG or JPEG), as a public https link to one, or as the plain text of a letter you wrote. This prepares the fax and returns a link for the user: they check it and pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay or card) or use page credits they already have, and it sends automatically. Nothing is sent or charged before that. If you can’t pass the file, call this with just the number: the user can add the document at the link.
