Overview

AI-generated overview

Shortimize tracks TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts accounts and videos, letting an assistant read views, growth and history and manage collections.

What you can do
  • List, inspect and refresh tracked accounts and videos, with follower counts, view/like/comment totals, outlier multipliers and growth over 1, 7, 14 and 30 days
  • Start or stop tracking accounts and videos, individually or in bulk up to 500 per request
  • Read daily metric history for one account, one video or the whole organisation over a date range
  • Create, update and delete collections, and add or remove accounts and videos from them
  • Check totals and test the API key against the service
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to monitor short-form video performance, compare creators or videos, pull growth history, or organise tracked accounts and videos into collections without opening the Shortimize dashboard.
Requirements
A remote hosted endpoint over Streamable HTTP; nothing to install. Requires a Shortimize account and an API key sent as an Authorization bearer header, created in Shortimize under Settings, API and Automation. Network access to the hosted service.
Before you install
The API key is a secret sent in the Authorization header; keep it out of shared configs. Tracking tools change what the organisation monitors and consume tracking quota, and bulk calls can affect up to 500 accounts or videos at once. Deleting a collection also removes its associations with accounts and videos. Data is read from and written to the third-party Shortimize service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Shortimize in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.shortimize%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

get_all_accounts

List Tracked Accounts

List every account your organisation tracks (TikTok, Instagram or YouTube profiles), one row per account with username, platform, follower count, view/like/comment/share/bookmark totals, median and mean views, percent_outperform_10x/25x and total_videos_tracked. Use it to find account ids or compare accounts; use get_account for one account, get_account_history for its daily trend, get_collection_accounts for one collection's accounts. The collections filter matches collection names. Returns a plain array, or { data, pagination } when paginated=true. Tier limits: Limited/Basic keys get 1 result with masked metrics; Premium gets full access.

track_account

Track Account

Track an account and link it to your organisation in Shortimize.

Parameterslinkrequiredtracking_typecollection_idscollection_names

stop_tracking_account

Stop Tracking Account

Stop tracking an account linked to your organisation, identified by its ID (UUID) or URL. Use it to pause monitoring an account that is no longer relevant or to free tracking quota; use bulk_stop_tracking_accounts for many at once.

Parametersidrequired

bulk_track_accounts

Bulk Track Accounts

Start tracking up to 500 accounts in one request. Each link is handled on its own, so one bad link does not stop the rest - the response returns one entry per link with a status of tracked, already_tracked, or failed, and failed entries say whether retrying will help. Send 50 links or fewer if the data needs to start arriving immediately; larger batches are still tracked but are collected by the scheduled update.

Parameterslinksrequiredlabel_idstracking_type

bulk_stop_tracking_accounts

Bulk Stop Tracking Accounts

Stop tracking up to 500 accounts in one request. Each entry in ids can be an account id or the link you originally tracked. Historical data stays available; this only stops new data being collected. If a link cannot be matched the whole request fails with 404 before anything is removed; a request of ids can partly succeed.

Parametersidsrequiredleave_videos

get_all_videos

List Tracked Videos

List the videos your organisation tracks, one row per video with ad_id, platform, username, title, upload date, latest views/likes/comments/shares/bookmarks, outlier_multiplier and increase_1d/7d/14d/30d growth. Filter by username, linked_account_id, upload or last-update date range, has_metrics or collection names. Use it to search across all videos; use get_video for one video, get_videos_linked_to_account for one account's videos, get_collection_videos for one collection's videos. Returns { data, pagination, filters }. Tier limits: Limited/Basic keys get 1 result with masked metrics; Premium gets full access.
