Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only access to Signed's public angel investor directory: search investors by keyword, sector or check size and view their profiles.

What you can do
  • Search the public investor directory by name, login, bio keyword, sector or check size
  • Browse investors ranked by profile completeness, filtered to one sector or check size
  • Read one investor's public profile: bio, sectors, check size, links, pinned portfolio, pitch preferences and similar investors
  • List the public investors who follow or are followed by a given investor
  • Look up the valid sector and check-size values, with counts and example companies
When to use it
Useful when researching angel investors, mapping a sector's investor landscape, or checking whether and where a specific investor takes founder pitches. It is a lookup tool for public directory data, not a way to contact or pitch investors.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at mcp.signed.com over streamable HTTP. No login, API key or environment variables are declared.
Before you install
Only public profiles are exposed, and results reflect what investors chose to publish on Signed. The server is read-only; it does not send messages or pitches to investors.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Signed Investors in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.signed%2Finvestors/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

search_investors

Search investors

Search Signed's public angel investor directory by keyword: a name, a login, or a word from an investor's bio or investment description ("climate", "former founder", "pre-seed"). A query that names a sector also matches investors who list that sector. Only public profiles are searched. Add sector or check_size to narrow the hits; use list_investors to browse a facet without a keyword.

list_investors

List investors

Browse Signed's public angel investor directory: every investor with a public profile, most complete profiles first, optionally narrowed to one sector or one check size. Each result carries the investor's login (for get_investor), what they invest in, the checks they write, their pinned portfolio companies, and whether they take pitches. Use search_investors when you have a name or a keyword.

get_investor

Get investor profile

One angel investor's public Signed profile by login: bio, investment description, sectors, check size, links, the portfolio companies they've pinned, whether (and where) they take pitches from founders, follower counts, and a few similar investors. Logins come from search_investors or list_investors, or from a signed.com/@login URL. Private profiles are indistinguishable from nonexistent ones.

Parametersloginrequired

Parameterspageloginrequiredper_page

Parameterspageloginrequiredper_page

list_sectors

Takes no parameters.

list_check_sizes

List check sizes

The check-size ranges an investor can list on their Signed profile — the valid values for the check_size filter on list_investors and search_investors — smallest to largest, with how many public investors write each.

Takes no parameters.
