SimpleFeed MCP lets an assistant search licensed news and video from subscribed publisher catalogs, fetch full articles, manage bookmarks and export results.
What you can do
Search articles and video across entitled publisher catalogs, optionally with full article text, or through an interactive research widget with a 3D view of results. List the publishers available under the subscription and fetch a single article by content ID and publisher. Review account plan, remaining search quota, subscription status and recent extra charges. Save, retrieve and remove article bookmarks, which upsert by content ID and publisher. Export results as JSON, CSV or Markdown files and get a download link.
When to use it
Useful when you need rights-cleared news and video research from subscribed publishers, want full article text for summaries or analysis, or need to keep and export a set of saved articles.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local runtime, packages, environment variables or headers are declared. Access depends on a SimpleFeed subscription with entitled publisher catalogs, and account-level quota and pay-per-article usage apply.
Before you install
Searches count against a search quota, and first full-article deliveries may be metered as extra charges; check the account tool for remaining quota and recent charges. Saving a bookmark overwrites any previous snapshot for that article. Export files are returned as links to SimpleFeed-hosted downloads.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.simplefeed%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Search articles and video across entitled publisher catalogs. Returns matching items with metadata and optional full article text. Omit the publishers parameter to search all entitled publishers. Counts against search quota; may meter first full-article deliveries.
Search entitled publisher catalogs and return an interactive research widget (MCP App) with the matching articles. full_article defaults to false. return_vectors defaults to false. The widget 3D view uses compact viz_x/viz_y stored in index metadata and does not fetch full embedding vectors. Counts against search quota; may meter first full-article deliveries.
Return publishers available for your subscription (id, name, description, description_short, domain, logo_url). Does not count against quota or pay-per-article usage.
