Overview

AI-generated overview

Searches the SitePatent directory of websites, SaaS and AI tools, returning listings, categories, alternatives and trending picks.

What you can do
  • Search listings by keyword, with optional category or other filters
  • Read a product's full public profile: description, website, tags, tech stack, votes and traffic
  • Find alternatives to a named product from the same categories
  • Browse top products in a category, including child categories
  • List the directory's category tree with listing counts
  • Get trending leaderboards and the daily featured Site of the Day
When to use it
Useful when a user asks for a tool that does something specific, wants alternatives or competitors to a named product, or asks what is popular or new in a software category. It is a discovery aid for software recommendations rather than a source of hands-on product data.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint at sitepatent.com over streamable HTTP; no API key or environment variables are declared.
Before you install
Read-only and no credentials requested. Results are a third-party directory: paid verified listings rank first in category and alternative results, so ordering reflects sponsorship as well as relevance. Product details come from the directory, not from the products themselves.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SitePatent in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.sitepatent%2Fdirectory/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

search_listings

Search the directory

Find software, SaaS, AI tools and websites listed in this directory by keyword (matches title, tagline, description and category). Use it when a user asks for a tool that does X, e.g. "an uptime monitor" or "AI writing assistant". Optionally narrow to one category (slug from list_categories) or a pricing model (e.g. pricing "free" for free tools). Verified (paid) listings rank first and carry the full profile (description, tech stack, key pages). Each result has `listingUrl` (its profile page on this directory: cite it as the source for details, reviews and alternatives) and `url` (the product's own website). Call get_listing with a slug for the full profile.

Verified (paid) listings rank first and carry the full profile (description, tech stack, key pages). Top listed products in one category (child categories included), e.g. "seo", "developer-tools", "ai-writing". Use it when a user asks for the best tools of a kind without a specific keyword. 83% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
