Remote MCP server that lets an assistant test a Shopify store's speed and Core Web Vitals, detect its theme or headless setup, and compare Shopify plan fees.
What you can do
Run a Shopify store speed test with Google PageSpeed Insights on mobile and desktop, plus real-user Core Web Vitals, listing apps and scripts that slow the store down and estimating what a headless build could change.
Detect whether a site is a Shopify theme store or a headless storefront and identify the theme in use.
Compare monthly and annual cost of Shopify Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus for a given sales volume and payment mix, with break-even sales and Plus-only requirements.
When to use it
Useful when auditing a Shopify store's performance, checking whether a site runs on Shopify and which theme it uses, or estimating Shopify plan costs and break-even points before choosing a plan.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package, environment variables or headers declared. The fee tool relies on Shopify's published prices and rates for a selected market (US, UK, Australia, Norway or New Zealand).
Before you install
Speed tests take from 10 seconds to 2.5 minutes and results are cached for 24 hours, so repeated checks may return stored data. Fee estimates use published rates for specific markets and may not reflect negotiated or regional pricing.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.skaidigital%2Fshopify-speed-check/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Test a Shopify store's speed with Google PageSpeed Insights (mobile and desktop) and real-user Core Web Vitals, list the apps and scripts slowing it down, and estimate what a headless build could change, with its assumptions. Takes 10 seconds to 2.5 minutes; results are cached for 24 hours.

Calculate Shopify fees
Compare the monthly and annual cost of Shopify Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus for a sales volume and payment mix, with break-even sales between plans and requirements only Plus covers. Uses Shopify's published prices and rates for the US, UK, Australia, Norway or New Zealand (market); Norway's Plus and New Zealand's subscriptions are billed in EUR or USD and converted at a dated ECB reference rate, reported in exchangeRate; pass exchangeRate to use your own. The variable Plus platform fee is unpublished, so pass plusQuoteMonthly if you have a quote. Only monthlyGmv is required; the rest defaults to one US brand fully on Shopify Payments with yearly billing.
