Ask your AI agent to add your Instagram feed or your Google reviews to your website.
Overview
SnapWidget lets an AI agent create social-feed and review widgets and embed them on a website, using a hosted remote MCP endpoint.
- What you can do
- Create widgets from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube feeds, Google and G2 reviews, and testimonials
- Embed the generated widget into a site, with steps for WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, other builders and JavaScript frameworks
- Sign in to a SnapWidget account and manage existing widgets
- Optionally use a companion CLI that prints JSON for terminal-based agents
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to add a live Instagram feed, YouTube videos or Google reviews to a website and handle the embedding steps for you, rather than building the widget manually.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint at snapwidget.com with OAuth sign-in required. A SnapWidget account is needed; new accounts verify with a code sent by email. Connecting a social account requires the account owner to open a link and click Allow. The optional CLI is an npm package and stores sign-in in a local config file.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open SnapWidget in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.snapwidget%2Fsnapwidget/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

SnapWidget for AI agents
Ask your AI agent to add your Instagram feed or your Google reviews to your website. It makes the widget and puts it on your site for you.
SnapWidget works with your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube accounts, your Google and G2 reviews, and your testimonials. This repository has three parts:
- A skill (
skills/snapwidget/SKILL.md) that tells the agent how to make a widget and add it to a site, with the steps for WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, many other website builders and the JavaScript frameworks. - The
snapwidgetCLI, for agents that work in a terminal. - Plugin files for Claude Code and Gemini CLI, with the skill and the SnapWidget MCP server.
Install
Claude Code
Gemini CLI
Cursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then add the skill with npx skills add snapwidget/snapwidget-agent:
Codex and other agents that read skills
Claude, ChatGPT and other chat apps: add the SnapWidget MCP server, https://snapwidget.com/mcp. The steps for each app are in the docs.
Use it
Ask your agent, for example:
- "Add my Instagram feed to the home page."
- "Show our Google reviews on the contact page."
- "Put the videos of my YouTube channel on this site."
The first time, the agent signs you in. With a new account, you type in the code that SnapWidget emails to you. To show the posts of an Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X account, the owner of the account opens a link from the agent and clicks Allow.
The CLI
Every command prints JSON, and snapwidget <command> --help shows its options. The CLI keeps the sign-in in ~/.config/snapwidget/config.json. SNAPWIDGET_TOKEN sends a token in place of the saved sign-in.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
