Social media data for AI agents: one MCP address, 18 platforms. Pay per call; failed calls are free.

Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant read public social media posts, comments, profiles and trends across 18 platforms, billed per call in prepaid credits.

What you can do
  • Search posts on one or several platforms at once, with date filters
  • Read trending lists, single posts or videos (with transcripts where offered), and comments with like and reply counts
  • Look up accounts: profile details, verification and followers, plus what an account published
  • Run platform-specific calls such as keyword indexes, creator marketplaces and ad libraries
  • Run analysis jobs: brand buzz, comment insights, creator discovery, account watching, cross-platform creator cards and bulk link research
  • Schedule recurring searches or tools and read what they found, and check capabilities, prices and account balance
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs public social media content or account data from platforms like TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit, YouTube, Xiaohongshu or Weibo without running its own scraper or holding platform accounts. Also suited to recurring brand, creator or topic monitoring.
Requirements
Remote hosted endpoint; nothing to install. OAuth sign-in is the default for clients such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor; other clients send an API key in the Authorization Bearer header (the manifest also lists an X-API-Key header). A SocialToAI account with prepaid credits is needed for paid calls; 100 free credits are given at sign-up.
Before you install
Paid service: calls consume prepaid credits bought by card or Alipay, and a search that runs but finds nothing is still charged, so set max_cost_credits on costly runs. API keys are shown once and should be kept in an environment variable. Commenters are anonymised, but the data is public content sent to a third-party service. The watch tool is not read-only.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SocialToAI in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.socialtoai%2Fsocialtoai/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

SocialToAI: social media MCP server

中文

Social media MCP server: TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Telegram, Xiaohongshu (RedNote), Douyin, Weibo, Bilibili, Zhihu, Kuaishou, WeChat Articles and WeChat Channels, plus the Meta Ad Library and Google Ads Transparency Center. One hosted MCP address and one HTTPS API for public posts, comments, profiles and trending lists. No platform accounts, no cookies, no scraper to run.

SocialToAI is an API and MCP server that lets AI tools read publicly visible social media content (posts, comments, profiles and trends) from 18 platforms. It is billed in prepaid credits, and failed calls are free.

  • MCP (Streamable HTTP): https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp
  • REST API: https://api.socialtoai.com/v1
  • 100 free credits on sign-up, no card. Credits never expire. You pay only for calls that return data.

Connect in one line

This is a hosted remote server: there is nothing to install. ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor sign in with OAuth (an email code, then Allow), so no key is copied anywhere. Other clients send an API key in a header.

ClientHow
Claude Codeclaude mcp add --transport http socialtoai https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp, then /mcp → socialtoai → Authenticate
Codexcodex mcp add socialtoai --url https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp (the browser opens to sign in)
Cursor~/.cursor/mcp.json: {"mcpServers":{"socialtoai":{"url":"https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp"}}}
Claude (web, desktop)Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector → https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp → Connect
ChatGPTSettings → Apps (developer mode) → Create → https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp, authentication OAuth
Any other MCP clientURL https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp, header Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>

Where nobody can sign in (a server, CI, a script), use an API key. Create one in the console (it is shown once), keep it in the environment variable SOCIALTOAI_API_KEY, and send it in the Authorization: Bearer header:

bash
export SOCIALTOAI_API_KEY="<YOUR_API_KEY>"
# Claude Code, with a key instead of signing inclaude mcp add --transport http socialtoai https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer $SOCIALTOAI_API_KEY"
toml
# Codex: ~/.codex/config.toml[mcp_servers.socialtoai]url = "https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp"bearer_token_env_var = "SOCIALTOAI_API_KEY"
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "socialtoai": {      "url": "https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp",      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:SOCIALTOAI_API_KEY}" }    }  }}

Already connected over OAuth and want to write a script? Ask your AI to call the account tool: its for_scripts field says where to create a key and how to send it. No answer ever contains a key.

Every client, step by step: socialtoai.com/mcp.

Call it from code

Every action is one POST to https://api.socialtoai.com/v1/<action> with a JSON body:

bash
curl https://api.socialtoai.com/v1/search \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $SOCIALTOAI_API_KEY" \ -H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"platform": ["reddit", "xiaohongshu"], "query": "air fryer", "since": "2026-10-01"}'

GET /v1/capabilities and POST /v1/find need no key. The OpenAPI document is at socialtoai.com/openapi.json, and the whole API for an AI to read at socialtoai.com/llms.txt.

Pricing

  • Credits: $10 = 3,000 · $50 = 20,000 · $200 = 100,000, or any amount from $10 to $2,000. Card or Alipay, priced in USD. No subscription.
  • A call costs 1 to 24 credits; most cost 2 (about $0.007). The price of every call is in capabilities and on socialtoai.com/pricing.
  • Tools are priced by scale and quote their price before a costly run; max_cost_credits refuses, for free, anything that would cost more.
  • Failed calls cost nothing. A search that ran and found nothing is charged.
