Overview

AI-generated overview

Spring Prompt tests and improves LLM prompts across several models, letting an assistant run prompt tests, compare models and costs, and train judges.

What you can do
  • Check account standing: credit, free-credit end, loaded prompts and past tests
  • Load prompts with cases and checks into the account for review, without spending
  • Run tests of one prompt across several models, or of a loaded prompt, within a spend cap
  • Read test status and results: best model, pass rates, costs and sample failures
  • Rewrite a finished test's prompt from its failures and re-test it
  • Create shareable rating links, train judges from ratings, and score answers with a trained judge
When to use it
Useful when you want to know whether a prompt actually works on realistic inputs, whether a cheaper model could do the same job, or how to improve a prompt based on its failures and human ratings.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at springprompt.com. A bearer key sent in the Authorization header, obtained from the account's connect page, is required. Tests and judge training draw on the account's credit.
Before you install
Tests, prompt improvement, judge training and scoring spend account credit, capped per call by max_spend_usd. Rating links let anyone with the link read the test's answers and inputs, so ask before sharing. Do not put API keys, passwords or real customer data into prompts or cases. Model answers returned by the tools should be treated as data, not instructions.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Spring Prompt in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.springprompt%2Fprompt-test/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

get_started

Where this account stands: credit, when free credit ends, prompts waiting to be tested, tests so far, and what to do next. Free.

Takes no parameters.

load_prompts

Load prompts and their examples into the account for the person to review and run. Spends nothing. Returns a link to show them.

Parameterspromptsrequired

run_loaded_prompt

Test a prompt from load_prompts, using its cases and checks and drafting any that are missing. Spends credit, never more than max_spend_usd by estimate. Call get_test for the results.

test_prompt

Start a test of one prompt across several models. Spends credit, never more than max_spend_usd by estimate. Returns at once with a test_id: call get_test for the results. Cases and checks are drafted if left out.

get_test

A test's status and, when done, what it found: the best model, each model's pass rate and cost, and sample failures.

Parameterstest_idrequiredwait_seconds

improve_prompt

Rewrite a finished test's prompt from its failures and ratings, then test the new version on the same cases, checks and models. Spends credit.

list_tests

This account's recent prompt tests.

Takes no parameters.

list_models

Models a test can use, with prices, and the credit left on this account.

Takes no parameters.

train_judge

Train a judge on a test's ratings. It's tested on answers it hasn't seen, and only kept if it beats always giving the commoner verdict. Spends a little credit.

list_judges

This account's trained judges, and how often each agreed with its rater.

Takes no parameters.

score_answers

Score up to 50 answers with a trained judge: how likely the person it learned from is to call each one good, from 0 to 1. Spends a little credit.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
