AI game assets for agents: consistent sprites, 2D animations, tiles, maps, music and engine exports.

Overview

AI-generated overview

Sprixen is a remote MCP server that lets an assistant generate style-locked game assets — sprites, animations, tiles, maps, music — and export engine-ready…

What you can do
  • Generate and list character sprites, animations, tiles and tile packs
  • Create, list and export maps
  • Generate music, 3D models and animations, VFX and AI Game Builder / Mod Builder assets
  • Export character and map packages for Godot, Phaser, Unity, GameMaker or RPG Maker MZ
  • Check credits, list projects, and inspect or call any of the product's API operations
When to use it
Useful when building a game and you want an agent to produce consistent 2D art, animation, tiles, maps or music inside a style-locked project and hand back engine-ready exports, rather than assembling assets by hand.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; no local package. Authentication is required: MCP OAuth clients sign in directly, otherwise an Authorization header with a Sprixen API key (Bearer spx_live_...) created in the Sprixen account settings. A Sprixen account with credits is needed; signup includes 6 free credits.
Before you install
Generations consume paid credits (sprite 2, animation 4 or 8, tile 1, music 3, 3D model 5), and Pro is $10/month for 200 generations, so agent use can spend money. The API key is a secret sent in the Authorization header. The call_api tool can reach every product endpoint, so writes and changes go beyond simple generation. Generated assets and prompts are handled by a third-party service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Sprixen in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.sprixen%2Fsprixen/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

Sprixen MCP server

Sprixen is an AI game asset generator with a native Model Context Protocol server. Agents in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, VS Code, Claude Desktop and Gemini CLI can create a style-locked project, generate character sprites, animate them, generate tiles, maps, music and VTT effects, and export an engine-ready package for Godot, Phaser, Unity, GameMaker or RPG Maker MZ.

Claude Code plugin

Installs the MCP server and the Sprixen skill in one step. Set your key first (create one at https://sprixen.com/settings/api):

bash
export SPRIXEN_API_KEY=spx_live_YOUR_KEY

Then, inside Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add Accelar-labs/sprixen-mcp/plugin install sprixen@sprixen

Quick start

Claude Code (without the plugin):

bash
claude mcp add --transport http sprixen https://api.sprixen.com/v1/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer spx_live_YOUR_KEY"

Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json):

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "sprixen": {      "url": "https://api.sprixen.com/v1/mcp",      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer spx_live_YOUR_KEY" }    }  }}

Codex CLI (~/.codex/config.toml):

toml
[mcp_servers.sprixen]url = "https://api.sprixen.com/v1/mcp"
[mcp_servers.sprixen.http_headers]Authorization = "Bearer spx_live_YOUR_KEY"

Teach your agent

The skills/sprixen/SKILL.md file is a Claude Code skill with the full workflow (check credits, one project per game for style lock, generate a character, generate animations one at a time and poll, export with export_character_package). rules/AGENTS.md is the same guidance for Codex and generic agents; rules/sprixen.mdc is a Cursor rule.

bash
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/sprixen && curl -fsSL https://sprixen.com/skills/sprixen/SKILL.md -o ~/.claude/skills/sprixen/SKILL.md

Tools

47 tools: get_credits, list_projects, generate_sprite, get_generation, list_sprites, generate_animation, list_sprite_animations, export_character_package, generate_tile, list_tile_packs, create_map / list_maps / export_map, generate_music, 3D model and animation tools, VFX tools, AI Game Builder and Mod Builder tools, plus list_api_operations / describe_api_operation / call_api to reach every product endpoint (167 operations) with the same validation, ownership and credit rules as the app.

Credits: sprite 2, animation 4 (premium 8), tile 1, music 3, 3D model 5, character package export free. Pro is $10/month for 200 generations.

Errors are actionable

Every error body carries a stable code and a hint with the next step, for example:

json
{  "statusCode": 402,  "code": "INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS",  "message": "Insufficient credits: this generation costs 2 and you have 0.",  "hint": { "action": "upgrade", "url": "https://sprixen.com/settings/billing" }}
