Query and manage SquaredUp dashboards, data streams, the knowledge graph, and KPIs (US region).
The publisher's own server: SquaredUp (EU)
Overview
Hosted SquaredUp MCP server (US region) that lets an assistant query and manage dashboards, data streams, the knowledge graph, KPIs, workspaces and…
- What you can do
- Explore a SquaredUp tenant and read its dashboards
- Query data streams and the entity/knowledge graph
- Work with KPIs, alerting and notification channels
- Manage workspaces, including cloning, plus integrations
- Handle permissions, sharing, scheduled reports and users
- Fetch built-in skills that guide the agent through these workflows
- When to use it
- Useful when your organization runs SquaredUp in the US region and you want an AI agent to inspect or administer observability dashboards, metrics and entity data from chat, without building API integrations yourself.
- Requirements
- A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at the US server URL; no local package or API keys. Requires a SquaredUp account in the US region and browser-based OAuth sign-in on first tool call. Some agents need the server added as a custom connector or MCP tool, which may require an Owner on Team and Enterprise plans.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open SquaredUp (US) in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.squaredup%2Fus/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

SquaredUp MCP
The official SquaredUp marketplace for AI agents. Install a region plugin and your agent of choice can query and manage your SquaredUp organization - dashboards, the knowledge graph, data streams, KPIs, workspaces, and integrations - through SquaredUp's hosted MCP server.
What you get
- One MCP server for your region - browser OAuth, nothing to configure, no API keys to manage.
- Built-in skills - the server's
get_skilltool guides your agent through real SquaredUp workflows: exploring a tenant, reading dashboards, querying data streams and the entity graph, working with KPIs, cloning workspaces, managing integrations, alerting and notification channels, permissions and sharing, scheduled reports, and managing users. There is nothing extra to install.
Choose your agent
Install for Claude Code
1. Add the marketplace
Run this once in any Claude Code session:
2. Install your region
Pick the plugin for the region your SquaredUp organization is hosted in:
The region plugin installs only your region's MCP server; the other region is never added.
Not sure which region you're on? Check the URL you use to sign in to SquaredUp - EU tenants use an eu. host.
3. Authenticate
Run /mcp, select your region's server, and sign in. Authentication is browser-based using your existing SquaredUp account - there are no tokens to copy. The first tool call will prompt you if you haven't signed in yet.
Organizations that span both regions
Install both region plugins:
Both servers will be present. When a task is ambiguous, Claude will ask which region you mean before running any tools, then stick to that region's server for the rest of the task.
Install for Claude desktop and claude.ai
These steps are the same in the Claude desktop app and on claude.ai, with no config files to edit. Either way, the server is saved to your Claude account, so you can use it in chat and Cowork.
As a plugin
- Open Customize > Plugins, select Add marketplace, and enter
squaredup/mcp. - Find the plugin for your region (
usoreu) and select Add. - Open the plugin's Connectors tab, add its server, and select Connect to sign in with your SquaredUp account.
The plugin also reaches Claude Code the next time you start a session signed in to the same account, so you don't need to install it there as well. To pick up new versions, select Check for updates on the marketplace or turn on Sync automatically.
As a custom connector
- Open Customize > Connectors and select Add custom connector.
- Enter the server URL for your region (
https://mcp.squaredup.com/mcpfor US,https://eu.mcp.squaredup.com/mcpfor EU) and select Add. - Select Connect to sign in.
The Free plan allows one custom connector.
Team and Enterprise plans
Members can't add custom connectors themselves, so an Owner adds the server for the organization first. In Organization settings > Connectors, select Add, then Custom, choose Web if asked, and enter your region's server URL. Members then find it under Customize > Connectors with a Custom label and select Connect. The same applies to the plugin: if its Connectors tab shows the server as Not added, ask an Owner to add it.
Manual MCP configuration (no plugin)
If you'd rather wire the MCP server up directly, add the entry for your region to your Claude Code MCP config.
US:
EU:
The OAuth flow is identical - the first tool call prompts you to sign in. Skills come from the server itself, so you get them with or without the plugin.
Install for other agents
Every option below adds only your region's MCP server. Skills come with the server, so there is nothing else to install. Sign in with your SquaredUp account in the browser when the agent first connects.
One click
VS Code also takes the server from the command line:
VS Code can also install this repo's plugins (an experimental setting). Add the marketplace to your settings, then search the Extensions view for @agentPlugins and install the plugin for your region:
Command line
The commands below are for the US region. For EU, use eu@squaredup, squaredup-eu and https://eu.mcp.squaredup.com/mcp instead.
Codex
Codex reads this repo's marketplace as is:
The Codex IDE extension doesn't support plugins. Add the server directly instead; the CLI and the IDE extension share the same config:
GitHub Copilot CLI
Copilot CLI also reads this repo's marketplace:
Antigravity CLI
Antigravity CLI installs the region plugin straight from this repo:
The plugin is named squaredup-us (squaredup-eu for EU). Install by the region's folder, not the repo root: the root URL installs both regions.
Gemini CLI
Gemini CLI has been replaced by Antigravity CLI for most accounts. If you still use it:
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT on the web, go to Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server. Paste the server URL for your region (https://mcp.squaredup.com/mcp for US, https://eu.mcp.squaredup.com/mcp for EU) and sign in when prompted. Whether you can add custom servers depends on your plan and workspace settings.
Copilot Studio
To use SquaredUp in an agent you build in Copilot Studio, add the server as an MCP tool. You need a Copilot Studio license; a trial can test the agent but can't publish it.
- Open your agent and, on the Build tab, select + next to Tools.
- In Add a tool, select + Add > Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Fill in the form:
- Server name:
SquaredUp - Server description: the agent uses this to decide when to call SquaredUp, e.g.
Query and manage SquaredUp dashboards, data streams, the knowledge graph, and KPIs. - Server URL:
https://mcp.squaredup.com/mcp(US) orhttps://eu.mcp.squaredup.com/mcp(EU)
- Server name:
- Under Authentication, choose OAuth 2.0 and leave Configuration type as Dynamic (with discovery). There is no client ID or secret to enter. Select Add.
- In Select a connection, open the Connection list, select Create new connection, then Create. Sign in with your SquaredUp account in the pop-up and choose your organization if asked. If no pop-up appears, allow pop-ups for Copilot Studio and select Create again.
- Select Add.
Every SquaredUp tool is on by default. Copilot Studio works best with fewer tools, so select SquaredUp under Tools, turn off Allow all, choose just the tools your agent needs, and select Done. Try the agent on the Preview tab, e.g. ask it to list your SquaredUp workspaces.
To use the agent in Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot, select + next to Channels, choose Teams + Microsoft 365, and select Add channel, then Publish. The tool's Authentication is End user account by default, so each user signs in with their own SquaredUp account the first time the agent calls a tool.
If you can't add the server, a Power Platform data policy may be blocking custom connectors. Ask your Power Platform admin to allow it.
Other MCP clients
Other MCP clients that support streamable HTTP and OAuth may work, but we've only tested the ones above. Point them at the server URL for your region: https://mcp.squaredup.com/mcp (US) or https://eu.mcp.squaredup.com/mcp (EU). If yours can't sign in, contact SquaredUp support.
Installed the skills with npx skills?
The skills used to be published from this repo for the skills CLI. They now come from the SquaredUp MCP server, so remove the old copies to stop them going stale:
Updating
Region plugins are version-pinned, so you receive updates when we publish a new version.
Repository layout
Each region folder is a Claude Code plugin (.claude-plugin/plugin.json) and an Antigravity plugin (.antigravity-plugin/plugin.json). Antigravity can convert a Claude Code plugin on install, but it drops the server URL of an HTTP server, so the region folders carry their own mcp_config.json.
Each manifest has its own version, but US and EU must share it, and every manifest must point at its region's server URL. The Release workflow checks this on every push to main. See CHANGELOG.md for when to bump each one.
