A remote MCP server that lets an assistant query a US market-data warehouse with read-only SQL, no API key required.
What you can do
List the warehouse tables and see which ones the no-key access can read, with each table's history filter column and a short description, and check the available plans and their limits and prices. Describe a table's columns, ClickHouse types, column notes and known data caveats. Run a single read-only ClickHouse SELECT against the global_markets database and get the rows back, covering equities, options, corporate actions, fundamentals, SEC filings, news and macro data.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to explore or pull US equities and options data, fundamentals, filings or macro series through SQL without signing up for a key first, and to see what a paid plan would add.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no API key, environment variables or headers are declared. The no-key access is capped at 500 rows and 20 seconds per query, with history from 2025-01-01 and some tick-level tables excluded.
Before you install
Queries are read-only and limited, but results state which limits were hit, so answers may be partial or truncated. The no-key tier has shallow history and excludes some tick-level tables; deeper history and more datasets require a free account or paid plan, which may involve payment.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.strasmore.ai%2Fmarket-data/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
List every table in the Strasmore US market-data warehouse (equities, options, corporate actions, fundamentals, SEC filings, news, macro) with a one-line description, the column its history window filters on, and whether this no-key access can read it. Call this first.
Takes no parameters.
describe_table
Describe a table
Columns of one table with their ClickHouse types, plus notes on columns whose meaning is not obvious from the name and known data caveats. Call before writing SQL against a table.

run_sql
Run SQL
Run one read-only ClickHouse SELECT against the global_markets database and get the rows back. No key needed. Limits on this access: 500 rows and 20 seconds per query, history from 2025-01-01, and some tick-level tables excluded — each result states which limit, if any, it ran into. Connected with an API key, it runs at that key's plan instead. Docs: https://ai.strasmore.com/llms.txt (tables and limits), https://api.strasmore.com/docs (API reference).

get_plans
Plans and limits
What this no-key access includes, what a free account and each paid plan add (history depth, datasets, row limits, price), and the link to start each one.
Takes no parameters.
