Remote MCP server that caps tool results to per-route output budgets, spilling the rest to artifacts and issuing signed omission receipts.
What you can do
Shape a tool result under per-route budgets, returning a shaped window plus a signed omission receipt
Re-fetch a narrower, byte-exact slice of a spilled payload with checksum re-verification
Verify a signed omission receipt
Report an unknown artifact as a clean error
When to use it
Useful when large tool outputs overflow context or token budgets and you want a bounded window plus an auditable record of what was omitted, with the option to pull back specific slices later.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no packages, environment variables or headers declared. After the free trial, continued use requires a payment header (X-PAYMENT) or a plan.
Before you install
Paid beyond the first 100 shaped results per operator, at $0.001 per result via the X-PAYMENT header or a plan. Tool results are sent to a third-party service for shaping and spill storage, so avoid passing sensitive payloads.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.textforagents%2Ftool-result-size-governor/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Shape one tool result under your per-route budgets -> shaped window + signed omission receipt. Trial: first 100 shaped results free once per operator; then $0.001/result (X-PAYMENT header) or a plan.
Re-fetch a narrower slice of your own spilled payload, byte-exact, checksum re-verified. unknown_artifact is a clean error.
