Overview

AI-generated overview

A remote MCP server that lets an assistant run a free, no-account audit of one public website's readiness for AI search.

What you can do
Check a single public website's AI-search readiness, including whether AI crawlers are allowed in and whether pages can be read without JavaScript. Review structured data, titles, descriptions and llms.txt findings. The check is fetch-only and mirrors the audit offered on the provider's site.
When to use it
Useful when you want a quick, free assessment of how well a public site is set up for AI crawlers and AI search, without creating an account or installing anything locally.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at the provider's domain; no account, API key, environment variables or headers are declared. The target site must be publicly reachable.
Before you install
The tool fetches a public website, so the address you submit is sent to the provider's service. It reports findings only; it does not change the site.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open The Ranking Factory site check in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.therankingfactory%2Fsite-check/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Check a website for AI search

Checks one public website's readiness for AI search, free and without an account: whether AI crawlers are allowed in, whether the pages can be read without running JavaScript, the structured data, titles and descriptions, llms.txt and more - the same fetch-only check as therankingfactory.com/audit. Answers with each finding's title and tier (Blocker first), every check made with its result, and fullReport: the link where the person can have the full report, with what to do about each finding, emailed to them. It does not ask any AI engine whether the business is named or cited; that needs an account. One site per call, and a site can be checked a limited number of times a day.

Score

83% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
