Query your databases and build charts, dashboards, filters and alerts in TractorScope.
Overview
Hosted TractorScope MCP server that lets an assistant query your connected databases and build charts, dashboards, filters and alerts in your account.
- What you can do
- List databases, read schemas and run SELECT-only queries capped at 1,000 rows
- List, search, create, update and clone dashboards and dashboard folders
- Read chart data and pull chart data; create, update, clone, delete charts and set chart fields or series
- List and create filters and apply them to dashboards
- List and create alerts, and run alert checks
- List share links and domains; create or revoke domains
- When to use it
- Useful when your team keeps SQL dashboards in TractorScope and you want an assistant to explore existing dashboards, run read-only queries against connected databases, or draft charts, filters and alerts from a chat prompt.
- Requirements
- Nothing to install: a remote streamable HTTP endpoint at api.tractorscope.com/mcp. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration, so a client that supports remote MCP servers connects with the URL alone. A TractorScope account with databases already connected is needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open TractorScope in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.tractorscope%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

TractorScope MCP server
TractorScope is a SQL dashboard builder for teams that own their data. This is its hosted Model Context Protocol server: connect an AI client and it can read your dashboards, query the databases you have connected, create and edit charts, manage filters and alerts, and pull chart data, all against your own account.
Nothing to install. The server speaks streamable HTTP and signs you in with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE, dynamic client registration), so any client that supports remote MCP servers connects with the URL alone.

Connect
On the consent screen you choose whether the connection may only read, or read and write. Connections are listed and can be revoked under Settings → MCP Server in the app.
Tools
Every tool is annotated with whether it reads or writes, and whether a write can remove something, so clients can auto-approve reads and confirm the rest. query_database runs SELECT only and caps results at 1,000 rows.
Things to try
- "Which of my dashboards mention revenue? Open the Q3 one and tell me what each chart is showing."
- "Query the orders database for weekly order counts over the last twelve weeks, then put it on my Sales dashboard as a line chart."
- "Make the bars on the Signups by plan chart use our brand colours: Pro in purple, Team in green."
- "Create an alert that emails me when yesterday's failed payments go above twenty."
- "Clone the Executive Overview dashboard into the Board folder and remove the churn chart from the copy."
Privacy
The server acts as the signed-in user and can only reach what that user can see in the app. Database credentials are never sent over the connection. How TractorScope handles data is described in the privacy policy.
Registry
