Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant pull TradeAlmanac market data such as dividends, screener results, sentiment indicators, calendar effects and stock lists.

What it does
TradeAlmanac provides market data through MCP tools covering dividends, a screener, sentiment indicators, calendar effects and stock lists. It can run as a remote streamable HTTP endpoint or as a local process over stdio. Tool descriptions and server messages can be served in English or Russian. No tool list is published in the manifest, so exact tool names are not documented here.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to answer questions about dividends, screen stocks, or look at sentiment indicators, calendar effects and stock lists during research or reporting. It fits workflows that want market data alongside other analysis rather than a full trading or brokerage integration.
Requirements
Either a remote streamable HTTP endpoint or a local process run with uvx from the PyPI package tradealmanac-mcp or with npx from the npm package @tradealmanac/mcp-server. A personal API key from the account page, API section, is passed as TRADEALMANAC_API_KEY; without it only indicators, calendar effects and stock lists answer. Optional TRADEALMANAC_MCP_LANG sets tool description language, en by default or ru. Network access is needed.
Before you install
A personal API key is supplied through the environment variable TRADEALMANAC_API_KEY; treat it as a secret and do not share it. Without a key, only indicators, calendar effects and stock lists answer, so some capabilities require the credential. The server is reachable both as a remote endpoint and as a local process, so consider where queries and the key are sent.
