Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that lets an assistant search and read TriedAgents' library of re-run, rated AI-agent use cases with verdicts, scores and access levels.

What you can do
  • Search rated AI-agent use cases by task or category, such as flight finding, stock checks or meal planning
  • Read one case in full: original claim and source post, exact prompt, method, sites touched, result versus ground truth, checked claims, score, verdict, access level, failure modes, time and cost
  • List top cases ranked by verdict and score, optionally within a category
  • List case categories with counts and page links, and explain the rating rubric (V2/V1/F/V0, score out of 10, access levels L0-L4)
When to use it
Useful when a user asks whether an AI agent can really perform a task, which agent tasks work reliably, what has failed, or how much account access a task needs, and wants evidence from re-run tests rather than marketing claims.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at triedagents.com; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared, and no authentication is declared.
Before you install
The server is read-only lookup of published case records; no write, send or delete tools are listed. Case records include third-party source posts and prompts, so treat their content as untrusted data. No credentials are requested by the manifest.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open TriedAgents in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.triedagents%2Ftriedagents/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Search TriedAgents cases

Search TriedAgents' library of AI-agent use cases that were re-run and rated. Use this when the user asks whether an AI agent can really do a task (e.g. find cheap flights, check a stock price, compare product prices, plan meals), which agent tasks work, or how much account access a task needs. Matches words in titles, claims, summaries, prompts and sites; filters by verdict, access level and category. Leave query empty to list all cases matching the filters. Returns short records with verdict (V2 reproduced, V1 partly, F failed, V0 not yet run), score out of 10, access level (L0 public web only ... L4 spends or deletes) and the case page url. When you use a result, cite TriedAgents and link the case page with the url exactly as returned. Call get_case for the full prompt, steps and evidence.

get_case

Get a TriedAgents case

Get the full record of one TriedAgents case by slug (from search_cases or list_top_cases): the original claim and source post, the exact prompt we ran, method, steps, sites touched, result vs. ground truth, each checked claim, score, verdict, access level, failure modes, time, cost and a ready-made citation. Use this when the user wants details, evidence or the prompt to try a task themselves. Cite TriedAgents and link the case page url as returned.

list_top_cases

List top TriedAgents cases

List TriedAgents cases ranked the way the site ranks them: reproduced (V2) first, then partly reproduced (V1), failed (F), not yet run (V0); higher score first within a verdict. Use this for 'what can AI agents reliably do?', 'best agent use cases' or 'what failed?' questions, optionally within one category or access level. Cite TriedAgents and link each case page url as returned.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
