Overview

AI-generated overview

Pinchy finds coupon and promo codes for an online store, ranked by how likely they are to work at checkout.

What you can do
  • Look up coupon, promo and discount codes for an online store by passing its domain or any URL on it (product, cart or checkout page).
  • Get results ordered by likelihood of working, with optional description, expiry date, success count and last-worked time, and a configurable limit (default 10, max 50).
  • Receive an empty list when the store is unknown.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant is helping someone shop online and should suggest discount codes to try at checkout, or when comparing which code saves the most on an order.
Requirements
Either the remote Streamable HTTP endpoint (no authentication) or the npm package pinchy-mcp run locally via npx for stdio-only clients. No accounts, API keys or environment variables are declared for normal use.
Before you install
Codes can expire or fail, so results are suggestions rather than guarantees. The server receives the store domain only, per its privacy policy. Self-hosting reads configuration from environment variables and trusts a proxy header for rate limiting, so it should only be exposed behind a proxy that sets it.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Pinchy in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.trypinchy%2Fpinchy/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect

{ "mcpServers": { "pinchy": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.trypinchy.com/mcp" } } }

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http pinchy https://mcp.trypinchy.com/mcp

Clients that only speak stdio can run the npm package instead:

{ "mcpServers": { "pinchy": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "pinchy-mcp"] } } }

Tool

find_coupons({ store, limit? }) — store is a domain or any URL on the store; limit defaults to 10 (max 50). Returns { domain, storeName?, coupons: [{ code, description?, expiresAt?, successCount?, lastWorkedAt? }] }, ordered by how likely a code is to work. An unknown store returns an empty list.

Run it yourself

sh
pnpm installpnpm dev # http://127.0.0.1:4020/mcppnpm test

Config is read from the environment, see .env.example. The process binds to 127.0.0.1 and trusts CF-Connecting-IP for rate limiting, so expose it only through a proxy that sets that header.

Privacy Policy

The server receives a store domain and nothing else: no account, no conversation content, no identifiers. Full policy: https://trypinchy.com/privacy.html · Contact: [email protected]

Find coupon codes

Find coupon / promo / discount codes for an online store. Pass the store domain or any URL from the store (product, cart or checkout page). Returns codes ordered by how likely they are to work: try them at checkout from the top, keep the one that lowers the total the most. Codes can expire or carry store restrictions, so none is guaranteed; an empty list means none are known for that store.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
