Generate and manage AI UGC video ads through eleven typed MCP tools

Overview

AI-generated overview

UnrealUGC's official MCP server lets an assistant browse creators, models and voices, estimate credit cost, and generate AI UGC video ads.

What you can do
Check the account, plan and credit pools behind an API key, and browse available video models, stock creators, custom avatars and voices. Find and create projects for related generations. Browse generation history with filters and pagination, and poll a generation to retrieve its output URL. Estimate credit cost from a script before spending, then start an asynchronous video generation with native or selected voices, silent reaction or b-roll clips, per-scene visual directions, and parallel or sequential multi-clip output.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to plan and produce AI UGC video ads end to end: pick a model and creator, check the script's credit cost against your balance, start the generation, and poll until the video is ready.
Requirements
Either the hosted remote endpoint with an Authorization bearer header, or the local npm package run with npx, which needs Node.js 20 or newer. An UnrealUGC API key from Dashboard Settings is required, supplied as UNREALUGC_API_KEY or the Authorization header. Optional UNREALUGC_BASE_URL and UNREALUGC_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS settings exist; network access to UnrealUGC is needed.
Before you install
The API key is a live secret (keys start with usk_live_) and should be kept in the client's environment settings, not committed to a repository. Generating videos spends credits, so check the estimate and balance first; generation is asynchronous and must be polled or tracked via webhooks. Creating projects and starting generations write data to your UnrealUGC account.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open UnrealUGC in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.unrealugc%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

UnrealUGC MCP Server

[npm] [CI]

The official Model Context Protocol server for UnrealUGC. It gives MCP-compatible assistants eleven typed tools for browsing creators and models, estimating credit cost, and generating AI UGC video ads.

This repository contains only the public MCP adapter. The UnrealUGC application and backend remain private.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 20 or newer
  • An UnrealUGC API key from Dashboard → Settings → API Keys

API keys start with usk_live_ and should be stored in your MCP client's environment settings, never committed to a repository.

Local stdio setup

You do not need to install the package globally. MCP clients can launch it with npx.

Claude Desktop

Add this server to your Claude Desktop configuration:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "unrealugc": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["-y", "@unrealugc/mcp"],      "env": {        "UNREALUGC_API_KEY": "usk_live_..."      }    }  }}

Claude Code

bash
claude mcp add unrealugc --env UNREALUGC_API_KEY=usk_live_... -- npx -y @unrealugc/mcp

Codex

toml
[mcp_servers.unrealugc]command = "npx"args = ["-y", "@unrealugc/mcp"]
[mcp_servers.unrealugc.env]UNREALUGC_API_KEY = "usk_live_..."

Cursor, Windsurf, OpenClaw, and other stdio MCP clients use the same command and environment variable.

Hosted Streamable HTTP setup

Clients that support remote MCP can connect without running a local process:

URL: https://unrealugc.com/api/mcpAuthorization: Bearer usk_live_...

See the MCP setup guide for client-specific instructions.
