Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant generate referentially intact, distribution-realistic synthetic PostgreSQL data through the Weavori CLI.

What it does
This local MCP server exposes the Weavori CLI to an AI assistant so it can produce synthetic PostgreSQL data. According to the registry description, the generated data is referentially intact and distribution-realistic, meaning foreign-key relationships and value distributions are preserved. The manifest does not list individual tools, so the exact command surface is not documented here.
When to use it
Useful when you need realistic test or development data for a PostgreSQL database and want an assistant to drive the generation. It fits workflows where referential integrity and realistic distributions matter more than hand-written fixtures.
Requirements
Runs as a local process over stdio, installed from the npm package @weavori/cli, so Node.js is required. A WEAVORI_API_KEY is required for all commands. An optional WEAVORI_DATABASE_URL can supply a default PostgreSQL connection string when a tool call does not pass one explicitly.
Before you install
The server requires the secret WEAVORI_API_KEY, which is used for authentication and in CI where there is no interactive login; treat it as a credential and avoid exposing it. It also accepts a PostgreSQL connection string via WEAVORI_DATABASE_URL, which may embed database credentials. Generated data is written to a PostgreSQL database, so confirm which database is targeted before running commands.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
