Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for searching WIA's own voluntary standards catalog and reading their specification files.

What you can do
  • Search the WIA standards catalog and get titles, summaries and links
  • Get an overview of one standard by slug, including README excerpt, spec file list and ebook languages
  • Read a standard's specification markdown files in pages of up to 12,000 characters
  • Check current catalog counts for standards, sub-standards, simulators and ebooks
When to use it
Useful when you need to look up or quote WIA-authored specifications, browse their catalog, or read a spec file in chunks while drafting or checking work against those standards.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no packages, environment variables or headers declared. Network access to the WIA endpoint is required.
Before you install
These are WIA's own voluntary standards, not ISO/IEC or ITU international standards, so do not present them as such. All four tools are read-only; queries are sent to a third-party site.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open WIA Standards in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.wiastandards%2Fstandards/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
